1. Metu Woreda Agriculture Office now invites all contractors of category GCBC-3 & above to
construct a crop Market center at Metu Woreda, Illu Abba Bora Zone.
2. The bidder shall submit a certificate of registration or certificate of competence from the
concerned body that renewed the current budget year (2016) who has renewed their Trade
license for the current year (2016) and who has a VAT registration certificate & Tax clearance
certificate valid during the bidding period from Oromia Revenue Bureau/Federal Tax Authority.
3. Bidding documents in the English Language may be purchased from Metu Woreda Revenue
Authority upon submission of a written application and a non-refundable fee of 1000.00 (One
thousand ETB) starting from 21 February 2024 G.C. to 21 March 2024 G.C. during working
hours.
4. A bidder has to have a registered VAT Certificate, trade license, tax clearance, registration
certificate and registration in the PPA's Suppliers List certificate must be attached with the
application.
5. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of ETB 300,000.00 (Three hundred thousand
ETB) in the form of CPO or Unconditional Bank guarantee.
6. The bid will be valid for 90 days after the date of bid opening. The bid security must be
addressed to the Metu Woreda Agriculture office by specifying the project name.
7. The deadline for the bid submission shall be 10:00 AM or 4:00 local time on 22 March
2024 G.C. to Metu Woreda Finance Office and the bid will be opened on the same date of bid
submission on 22 March 2024 at 10:30 AM or 4:30 Local time.

8. Bidders are required to submit bid documents in two envelopes containing the technical and
financial proposals separately enclosed.
9. The original and two copies of the Technical document shall be placed in a separate seal
envelope wax sealed marked as 'TECHNICAL DOCUMENT ORIGINAL, TECHNICAL DOCUMENT
COPY 1, and TECHNICAL DOCUMENT COPY 2' and, then placed the three separated documents
in a one large outer, envelope wax sealed marked as TECHNICAL DOCUMENT. All envelopes
must be stamped, wax sealed, and signed by a bidder and all other information shall be
marked.
10. The original and two copies of the Financial offers shall be placed in a separate seal enveloped
and wax sealed marked as 'FINANCIAL DOCUMENT ORIGINAL, FINANCIAL DOCUMENT COPY 1,
and FINANCIAL DOCUMENT COPY 2 and, then placed the three documents in a one large outer
envelope wax sealed marked as FINANCIAL DOCUMENT. Finally, the TECHNICAL DOCUMENT
AND FINANCIAL DOCUMENT should be in one mother envelope. All envelopes must be
stamped, wax sealed, and signed by a bidder and all other information shall be marked.
11. "Bid security" in a separate envelope then must be inserted in the original technical document
and to be opened only in the presence of the tender committee.
12. The validity of the bid shall be 90 days from the date of bid opening.
13. Metu Woreda Agriculture Office reserves the right to reject any or all bid.
