Course objectives
Differential equations introduce students to the fundamental concepts and techniques required to model and solve differential
equations. This course typically covers topics such as basic Concepts and Classifying Differential Equations, Solutions of
First –Order Differential Equations, Applications of First- Order Differential Equations , Second –Order Linear
Differential Equations : Theory of Solutions, Solutions of Second analyze , Solutions of Second –Order Linear
Nonhomogeneous Equations and Initial –Value Problems , Applications of Second –Order Linear Differential Equations
, Laplace Transforms and Inverse Laplace Transforms. Differential equations are useful when describing the behavior of
dynamical systems, such as algorithms, neural networks, and optimization processes. By understanding differential
equations, computer scientists can better design and analyze algorithms, optimize performance, and develop simulations
for various domains within computing. Additionally, differential equations serve as a bridge between theory and practical
application, providing valuable insight into the underlying principles governing complex systems.

This course equips students with mathematical skills, problem-solving techniques, and critical reasoning, preparing them for
further studies in mathematics, physical sciences, or Computer Science.
1. classify differential equations by order, linearity, and homogeneity
2. use separation of variables to solve differential equations
3. solve exact differential equations
4. Ability to solve first-order differential equations
5. Ability to solve higher-order differential equations.
6. Ability to solve systems of differential equations.
7. Use Laplace transforms and their inverses to solve differential equations.
