Introduction
Product monitoring and control team is among the teams working under input and production
monitoring department.
The main goal of the team is
1. Each production unit can achieve required standard (production target), optimum utilization of
resources and also minimize cost by controlling raw material consumption for products and
reduced the wastage.
2. Ensure the delivery of different products produced at input production center at the intended
time and in accordance to the customer request. And also minimize cost by controlling raw
material consumption for products and reduced the wastage.
This report are four parts
 The results of Production Monitoring and controlling tasks

 Work order status
 Problem encore and remedial actions
 Recommendation and conclusion
The major portion of our report that presented the summary of production unit's performance this
month that emplace daily and weekly production monitoring works are the sections of this
report, as well as work order status.

 Whereas the physical performance according to the production unit’s plan is 149%. On
the other hand, the financial performance is 144%. And generally, 1578 pcs product was
planned to produce in September.

increase

so slab production is increase 9 to18 the production capacity is increase.

 In the reporting month, 910.81meter cube of different grade concrete was produced
 Out of this amount 755.62meter cube was consumed for prefabricated elements (based on
standard bill of material analysis) and -meter cube was consumed for curbstone production.
 Generally, the plan performance was good in physical performance that is 101% but financial
performance is poor that is 89% in the reporting month. This discrepancy of the performance
between the physical and financial execution shall be narrowed by revision of the plan.

1.1.3 Hollow Concrete block
 The performance with regard to physical and finance plan in the month is 63% and 31%
respectively. This shows a poor productivity; thus, we recommend feedback to be given to
the production unit as to improve the production in the next month.
 This discrepancy of the performance between the physical and financial execution shall be
narrowed by revision of the plan.
 Raw material shortage, machinery maintenance and mold repair shall be given due attention
to keep the productivity at the intended level.

 As can be seen in the tables above 4002 pieces of different products (pp sheet and pp
bag) were produced in the month, making the financial and physical performance of
298% and 96% consecutively.
 This discrepancy of the performance between the physical and financial execution shall
be narrowed by revision of the plan.
1.1.5 Gypsum production unit
The physical plan of the month for the production of gypsum product was 23,000 pieces when
this is compared to the production of the month 123559 it shows 53.73 % physical performance
is low its compere to plan of the month.
The financial plan was 5,231,928 ETB as per the unit price taken from shipping, we have found
the financial performance of the month to be 1,714,722ETB which shows a performance 6.09 %
performance is very low production compare to plan of. Give attention to produced pre plan.

 This discrepancy of the performance between the physical and financial execution as
the results of Product seat product and wooden partition have not a work order.
 As this results 6555.6*6=45,889.2 ETB loss from wood partition products and
645*34.54 =22,278.3 ETB total loss from two products is 68,167.5ETB

performance is very low. The financial performance of the production unit is 36.20%. This figure
shows the financial performance is very low on September.

There is a discrepancy in the plan as can be seen from the gap between the financial and physical
performance it’s come from the different products unit price are not the same it’s the plan are not
detailed so it expects.
As can be seen from the above table the productivity was very good productivity overall
products. This can also be related to the physical performance 122% which is the financial 155%

This month's Test Production is focused on the facility that makes paving blocks, and the
physical execution rate is 14.75 percent, so it counts as Test Production.

The production unit was able to produce products amounting 139,324.387ETB which makes the
financial performance 4.89%. This figure shows the financial performance is very low than plan
of the month.
The physical performance of the production unit is 16.35%. This figure shows the physical
performance is very low than plan of the month.
As can be seen from the above table the productivity of the production unit in the month was
very poor. Thus, we recommend feedback to be forwarded to the production unit for
improvement.
1.1.11 Tire recapping and rubber products production unit
In this reporting month there was no production as well as shipping in the production unit.

 Over all execution of production unit was good in august but some production units are
very poor completion give an action those production units work per plan.
1. Prefab, flexi flume, wood and aluminum and PVC production unit achieve their financial
plan 100%.

36% and 21 %.

1.3 Work order status
We have 116 work orders in number and 160 works on physical last three-month 56 work order
are complete and 39 are delivered and 23 works on progress and others finished next month and

1.4 Recommendation and conclusion
 The production of the month cannot generally said to have a timely work order for most
products.
 Besides the timely issue of work order, the overall issue of work order shall be closely
checked from the project's requisition up to the final content of the work order.
 There was discrepancy between physical and financial plan of some production units as
reported in the above sections. Thus, we recommend an in-depth review of the plan
before it is approved by corporate planning.

 Measurement issue, raw material shortage, and machinery maintenance shall be given a
critical attention to keep the productivity of each production unit at the expected level and
lack man power on metal and HCB give attention.
 Updated unit prices and standard outputs shall be communicated to us whenever applied.
Thus, we recommend the responsible departments to be communicated to ensure the
same.
