The increasing availability of low-cost airlines now lets people travel around the

world. Some feel this is a positive development while others think it is negative
overall. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.

There is a view that recent rise in access to low-cost airlines allows people to travel
across the world. While some believe that it can have negative result such as low-quality
service, others, including me, think that benefits - instant access to other countries and
competition between airlines companies - are more significant.

The first argument in favor of detrimental outcome of this trend is that the quality of
service can be worsened. In other words, regardless of low costs of airlines, companies
still put in much effort to fulfill basic needs and meet expectations of consumers, while
implementing cost-cutting measures. For example, some airline companies offer tickets
with cramped seats and without on-board meals, as a result, passengers may experience
discomfort and inconvenience during their flights.

Despite aforementioned drawback, I am still of the opinion that this tendency has a
desirable turn of events overall. Firstly, when prices are low, people can take advantage
of this and embark on journeys to various countries across the world, especially those
experiencing financial distress. This is usually because of their low-paid job, and other
extra expenses, that impose additional burden on financial well-being. Take company
"Fly Dubai" as an example, which offers people tickets with the lowest prices.
Consequently, it can alleviate social inequality between affluent individuals and those
with tighter budgets.

Besides that, this may foster a healthy competition, with some offering high prices and
others providing lower-priced alternatives. Organizations that provide with high-price
tickets make individuals reluctant to purchase tour-packets, lessening the number of
consumers. Once airline agencies ensure that prices are affordable to everyone, they can
attract a wider customer base, potentially stimulating demand for air travelers.

In conclusion, although some believe that recent growth of airlines providing low prices
for people to travel to several destinations is negative as it can affect the quality of
service, I concur that this trend is a good one. Thereby, it can allow people from low-
income background to travel to countries, mitigating social
inequality, and encourage competition among companies who set high prices and others
offer lower-priced options.
