Community service plan

If I am fortunate enough to receive a computer, I pledge to give back to my community by holding basic
computer skills tutorials for teenagers in my neighborhood who lack access and training. As a student
who knows how to properly use a computer, I can teach local youth basic computer skills that are
important for school and life. Within six months, I will offer my free time for two hour sessions teaching
basic computer skills, whether working one-on-one showing a student how to use a computer or leading
a small group to using simple software and websites. By just providing free lessons in my own home to
those who want to learn, I can help the teenagers in my area gain computer skills. Offering basic hands-
on computer tutorials is a small way I can give back and create more opportunities for promising young
people around me.
