In this exercise I applied principles of text placement to appropriately
label both dynamic and static bodies of water, polygon and point
islands, and population centers. I positioned the names on larger
islands to demonstrate their relative enormity, and increased the
tracking to decompress the labels. I referred to NOAA nautical charts
to determine directionality of straits, channels, and passes. I chose a
lighter palette inspired by the mild, weathered colors seen in the towns
