Distral is a Colombian food export
company that purchases products
from local suppliers to distribute in
the US and Europe.

As part of its expansion strategy, the

collection center in the municipality
of Alvarado. This center will serve as
a hub for consolidating the coffee
shipments from its suppliers located
in the Tolima department.

Challenge

Each team must propose the routes required to collect the goods
at the lowest possible cost, taking into consideration the
following points:
o The total quantity carried on a route must not exceed the
vehicle's capacity.
o Each vehicle can only complete one route.

o All vehicles must commence and conclude their routes at the


Alvarado collection center.
o To prevent cross-contamination, it is not possible to split the
quantity to be collected from each supplier among multiple
vehicles; it must all be transported in a single vehicle.
o You are not obligated to use all four available vehicles; simply
use as many as needed to service all the suppliers
