STRESS IN COMPOUND NOUNS

The first word in a compound noun has a strong stress.


For example:

A. Listen to the compound nouns in Exercise 1 on page 20 and repeat in the pauses.

When using falling intonation for questions with “Where?”, stress the first word in a compound
noun.
