MEETING PROPER:

I. Statement of Purpose
 The subject was called to help the students set plans after senior
high school whether to decide on the course they will take in
college or focus on the skill they will gain after this school year.

NARRATIVE REPORT

To promote the learners becoming productive and contributing

responsible citizens as stated in RA 10533 “Enhanced Basic Education Act
of 2013” the school conducted a Career Guidance Program for school year
2023-2024. This program aims to strengthen students to pursue a career
emphasizing that choosing a career is not being influenced but is a result of
the decision. Students also shall have experienced careers they are aiming
to match their interest with the possible career in a given choice and develop
an individual’s competencies in self-knowledge, educational and
occupational exploration, and career planning.

In connection with this, Las Piñas City National Senior High School-
Manuyo Campus conducted a Career Guidance Orientation 2024 with the
theme: “Exploring Success Through Wise Career Choices”, last February 22,
2024, at 9 a.m. held at the school’s Gym Hall.

The registration started at 8:30 am. The program opened with prayer
and was followed by a nationalistic song. The program formally started with
the welcome remarks by Mr. Mark Anthony C. Mamon – OIC Principal. He
encouraged the learners to build concrete plans as early as now, think of
three schools for their dream college, schools in the vicinity are more
practical now as we are facing heavy traffic everywhere, and think of plans if
not pursuing college.

To explain further the importance of education Ma. Teressa B. Delos

Santos, Ph.D. – PSDS, Cluster II shared her experiences and struggles as a
student, and left a message, “Your future is your choice”. Statement of
Purpose was delivered by the Schools Guidance Advocate Mrs. Maria
Cristita B. Cuerdo,

The first part of the program was the parade where some students
wore their future career choices. The students have fun parading their
costumes.

The Orientation Proper was led by Ms. Estella Marie A. Oclares, LPT of
Talent Acquisition Analyst, Lean Solutions she tackled “Career Development
Planning” where she gave deeper thoughts on choosing the right course and
school for college. Also, her ideas on setting plans for the future. How to
make firm decision-making and consider the family in pursuing dreams and
goals.

To inspire more, some college students and alumna shared their

experiences after Senior High School they were Ms. Melody L. Pajo a 2nd
Year college student taking up BS Hospitality Management in CVSU Indang,
Ms. Kattlea P. Grañada currently teaching, a graduate of PNU and received
the award Magna Cum Laude, Mr. Jhon Bert R. Veraya currently teaching, a
PWU graduate and received the award Summa Cum Laude.

The schools that participated in this activity were: AMA Computer

College Sucat; Olivarez College; Parañaque Far Eastern University, Alabang;
Universal College of Parañaque; and Centro Escolar, LP. After the
presentation of participating schools, the awarding of certificates was
followed, and closing remarks were delivered by the Senior High School
Coordinator Ms. Aileen G. Valle. As the program ended, the SDO-LP Hymn
was sung.
