1 Check physical condition of welding machine.

2 Check condition of electrical components like operating

switch, fuse ,
Starter, output terminals, regulator, etc.
3 Check power cable condition and its connections

4 Check earthing connection

5 Check whether cabal is terminated with proper size of

plugs.
6 Ensure that the joint are avoided in the main power
connection as well as welding cables.
7 A C power cable to welding machine to be short in length.
It should be taken O/H to the machine. If cable cannot be
taken O/H then mechanical protection to the cable to be
provided.
8 Both live and neutral cable to be taken to the job.
Structures are not to be utilized as return path.
9 Machine is air cooled type only and condition of fan.
