Module 3: Thinking Aloud My Decisions

Let’s Try This

1. Yes, I have experienced spending more time to make a decision that greatly affects me or my
future. For example, when I was deciding which college to go to, I spent months researching
different schools and talking to current students and alumni. I also took a lot of time to think
about what I wanted to study and what kind of environment I wanted to learn in. In the end, I
was happy with my decision, but it was definitely a process.
2. Take a step back and relax. It's easy to get overwhelmed when you're making a big decision. It's
important to take a step back and relax so that you can clear your head and make a decision that
is right for you. Make a list of your priorities. What is important to you in a college? Once you
know your priorities, you can start to narrow down your options.
3. Start the process early. Don't wait until the last minute to start thinking about your college
options. The earlier you start, the more time you'll have to research different schools and make a
decision that you're happy with.

What I have Learned

Dear Anton,
I hope this letter finds you well. I'm writing to you today because I know you're struggling with deciding
what school and course to take in college. I've been through this process myself, and I know how difficult
it can be.

I want to share with you some of the things that I wish I had known when I was making my decision.
First, it's important to take your time and not feel rushed. This is a big decision, and you don't want to
make it lightly.

Second, take some time to reflect on your interests and values. What are you passionate about? What
kind of impact do you want to make on the world? Once you have a better understanding of yourself,
you can start to narrow down your options.

Third, don't be afraid to explore different schools and courses. There are so many amazing options out
there, so it's important to do your research and find a place that's right for you.

Finally, don't be afraid to ask for help. Talk to your parents, teachers, counselors, and friends. They can
all offer you valuable advice and support
I hope this advice is helpful, Anton. Choosing the right school and course is a big decision, but it's also an
exciting one. Take your time, do your research, and trust your gut. Good luck!

Right decision: During the early days of the pandemic, I decided to stay home as much as possible and
follow the quarantine protocols strictly. This was a right decision because it helped to protect myself and
others from COVID-19.

Wrong decision: At one point during the pandemic, I decided to go to a party with my friends. This was a
wrong decision because it violated the quarantine protocols and put myself and others at risk of getting
COVID-19.

By reflecting on these experiences, I have learned the importance of making responsible decisions during
the pandemic. I have also learned the importance of following the quarantine protocols.
