FTTFM 3110 – HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

EXAM ESSAY

1. How do leaders manage people?

Good leader is always aware not only to his environment but also within
himself/herself. As he develops himself, he also prioritizes the personal development of
the people around him. Managing people around us is a huge responsibility because it’s
all about developing, organizing, problem-solve for, and grow the employee side of the
business.

Collaborating and influencing people at all levels of the organization can result to a
good communication and effective working impact across the company. As a leader, it
is also important to consider the personal status of the employees that could build
stronger relationship as a manager-employee or owner-employee. Apart from giving
them motivations and advices we should also take part of listening to their sides to
avoid misunderstandings and create a good camaraderie.

Effective and healthy relationship within an organization requires good management

and leadership. Leaders will have a vision of what can be accomplished, which they will
then communicate to others and develop tactics to achieve. They are able to persuade
others and bargain for resources and other forms of assistance in order to attain their
objectives.

2. What do you think is the biggest challenge of human resource process?

Human resource deals with many issues that concern the human resource process
within the organization. Probably one of the biggest challenges that they encounter is
the recruitment and selection process. Human resource manager is responsible to
recruit and select a person that qualifies all the qualities of a certain employee they
should have. But unfortunately, there are still a lack of qualifies candidates in certain
position in the organizations. Due to the lack of qualified candidates, employers who
want to fill their open positions with great candidates will have to look beyond their
employees’ social networks and local communities. They have to find a way to expand
their candidate reach in order to find those rare hidden gems.
You need to utilize the power of social media and start promoting your employer
brand on social media. This doesn’t mean just posting your job openings across
different social media networks. You should also share stories, photos and videos that
present and promote your company as a great place to work. You should also organize
different recruiting events (such as meet-ups, workshops, etc.) and invite potential
candidates to attend them.
