Project: Wilmont’s Pharmacy Prototype Delivery Drone Revision Number: 0.0

Revision Date: March 28,2024

Purpose
The purpose of this project is to build 4 prototype drones for Wilmont’s Pharmacy’s experimental
prescription delivery service. Current DroneTech drone systems, IT interface and business systems will be
customized to integrate with Wilmont’s IT interface, business and communication systems for a seamless
order and delivery process. The prototypes will be deployed in suburban areas of San Francisco and will
test the viability of drone delivery services for Wilmont’s Pharmacy nationwide. Success in this project
would give Wilmont’s Pharmacy confirmation of the feasibility and profitability of a nationwide program and
will create a strong, lasting business relationship and business stability for DroneTech.

Project Goals
- Four modified units will be customized by DroneTech for Wilmont’s Pharmacy. Wilmont’s logo and
colors will be prominently displayed on each drone. A modified, temperature-controlled, bubble
type packaging system will also be required to ensure that temperature-sensitive or delicate items
will not be damaged in the delivery process.
- The relationship between DroneTech and Wilmont’s systems should not compromise
customer privacy, Wilmont’s business information or any of Wilmont’s proprietary information.
- The customer should not be aware that two systems are involved in the delivery service. An IT
system should interface the resources of both companies regarding the mobile application, order
entry, and confirmation and delivery status. Wilmont’s online order process should be enhanced to
allow customers to register for and receive drone delivery service. This system will interface with
DroneTech’s current delivery systems.
- DroneTech must provide training for employees in the four pilot Wilmont’s locations to ensure that
they are versed with the drones, special packaging and loading procedures.
- DroneTech must provide adaptability for the packaging for different products.
- DroneTech must prove the drones are capable of flying products in a suburban area and safely
delivering packages on time. The number of errors with the drone delivery system must not be
higher than those delivered through standard processes.
- The prototype project should not exceed the $750,000 budger and the first flight must commence
no later than November 30th.

Product Scope Description

Product Scope:
1) DroneTech will provide four (4) prototype drones to Wilmont’s Pharmacy.
Goals:
a) Each drone will be customized with Wilmont’s Pharmacy logo and colors.
b) Each drone will be outfitted with a custom clamping system and insulated, bubble-type
transport container for medications.
