TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT – It is a management framework based on the belief that an organization can build

long-term success by having all its members -- from low-level workers to its highest-ranking executives -- focus on
improving quality and, thus, delivering customer satisfaction.

THE TWO FUNDAMENTAL OPERATIONAL GOALS OF TQM

1. Careful design of the product of service.

2. Ensuring that the organization's systems can consistently produce the product or service as it is designed.

An operational goal of total quality management is ensuring that the organization's systems will never produce a
defective product or service.

SIX SIGMA QUALITY - Six Sigma is a set of methodologies and tools used to improve business processes by reducing
defects and errors, minimizing variation, and increasing quality and efficiency. The goal of Six Sigma is to achieve a level
of quality that is nearly perfect, with only 3.4 defects per million opportunities.

It is a set of quality control tools that businesses can use to eliminate defects and improve processes to help boost their
profits.

ISO 9000 - ISO 9000 is a set of internationally recognized standards for quality assurance and management. Published by
the International Organization for Standardization, it aims to encourage the production of goods and services that meet
a globally-acceptable level of quality.
