1. Due to regulations, you are not allowed to buy or hold DBS Bank shares using DBS Share Financing
account.

2. Please be informed that the CDP Securities Transfer Form (CDP Form 4.2) must be completed
accurately
- No corrections using correction tape or correction fluid is allowed.
- Deletion and correction by pen and countersign is accepted.

FAQ: DBS Vickers Online + DBS Share Financing
Q. I’ve logged into my DBS
Vickers Online but do not
see the ‘DBS Share
Financing’ settlement
mode.
Q. I’ve selected the incorrect
settlement mode ( Cash
instead of DBS Share
Financing ). How can I
resolve this?
Q. After selecting ‘DBS Share
Financing’ settlement
mode, my BUY Limit
appears as $0.00
Q. Why am I unable to
purchase certain shares in
the US or HK market, for
settlement under ‘DBS
Share Financing’?
A. ‘DBS Share Financing’ settlement mode will only appear in your DBS Vickers Online platform when
you sign up for a DBS Share Financing ONLINE Account.
If you have a DBS Share Financing ALLBROKER Account, which allows you to nominate external
brokers, you will not have access to ‘DBS Share Financing’ settlement mode in DBS Vickers Online.
A. If you have executed the trade from your normal Cash account, we will not able to amend this
trade into your DBS Share Financing Account as there is a straight through settlement process.
Therefore, please exercise caution when selecting the settlement mode. If you have sufficient
collateral in your DBS Share Financing, you can perform a cash drawdown into your Cash account.
A. In order to receive a BUY Limit, your DBS Share Financing facility must have cash or marginable
shares pledged. You can refer to the earlier section of this guide on how to transfer cash or shares
into the facility.

A. The DBS Share Financing facility only allows marginable shares (with valuation) to be purchased. To
find out which shares are marginable, you can refer to our monthly Marginable Securities List
published on our website here

denominated in USD. Can I
select SGD as settlement
currency?
Q. I wish to convert my
outstanding USD / HKD loan
to SGD. How can I do so?
Q. Why can’t I place Good-till-
Cancel (“GTC”) orders
under DBS Share Financing
settlement?

A. No, currently the settlement currency follows its respective market. Thus,

A. To switch your loan into another currency (or wallet), you are performing an ‘Inter-Wallet Transfer’.
You can call our Share Financing BDMs at 6878 4969 on Weekdays 09:00AM – 05:00 PM (excluding
public holidays), who will help you book a FX rate and perform the loan switch. Please expect a
processing time of 2 business days.
A. We do not permit GTC orders under the DBS Share Financing facility, as your available DBS Share
Financing BUY limits differ from day-to-day, due to daily mark-to-market valuation. If GTC orders
were allowed, you may potentially exceed your prescribed BUY limits and face a margin call.
