Brocade DCX, Brocade DCX Plus, Brocade DCX4S, Brocade DCX-4S Plus fibre channel directors. “Fabric
Operating System (FOS) and Network Operating System (NOS)” are Real Time Operating System
firmware’s that run on Brocade's switch and director platforms. The Brocade director is a highly scalable,
partitionable product that provides dynamic switched connections between Fibre Channel servers and
devices in a SAN environment.

Project Description:
Fibre Channel Router subsystem is responsible for provding connectivity to devices in different fabrics
without merging the fabrics by creating proxies. Fibre Channel Router uses inter-fabric routing protocol to
communicate among them. Partitioning a physical switch into multiple logical switches and establishing
the fabric connectivity with less number of physical connections between physical switches. Logical
Fabric Manager is responsible for establishing logical ISLs (LISLs) through its state machine. Fibre Channel
over Ethernet subsystem is responsible for establishing single hop CNA device connectivity.

Beneficiary Responsibilities:

 Design, develop, test, debug, implement, and document various firmware modules related to fibre
channel router (FCR), logical fabric (LF) and fibre channel over Ethernet (FCoE) on Fibre Channel
enterprise director and switches.
 Gather information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements. Prepare detailed
specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Ensures programs meet standards and
technical specifications; performs technical analysis and component delivery and coordinating with
offshore.
 Provide technical analysis for customer/OEM field issues seen at OEM/Customer labs; provide
workarounds to ensure the customer businesses are not affected. The fixes will be delivered as a
patch or main release.

end client. However, these dates of engagements for each type of service will be re-evaluated from time
to time on a regular basis and will be extended based on the progress of the project.
