The bar chart illustrates the percentage of jobless women in four different countries in Britain in 2013

and 2014.

Overall, the percentage of unemployed women in England, Wales and Northern Ireland decreased,
whereas the percentage of unemployed women in Scotland increased. The rate of unemployed women
in Scotland and England were higher than Wales and Northern Ireland.

In 2013, the number of women without job hit the highest point of 6,8% in England. The country
which reached the second highest point is Scotland with 6,1%. Northern Ireland and Wales had
similar figures around 5,4% and 5,6%.

In the next year, the percentage of jobless women in Scotland rose by 6,7%. In contrast to the trend in
2013, the data in Wales and Northern Ireland fell to 5% and 4,6%. England slightly dropped to 6,5%.
