You can install testXpert® II on all commercially available

PCs and laptops without the need for an additional
connection card. testXpert® II will not invalidate any
guarantee conditions your computer may have.
Moreover, you can install testXpert® II on as many
computers in your company as you like, and thus have
access to your data from various places. Test
programs can be prepared on PCs without connection
to a test machine, or test series can be called up later
and further evaluated.

Select Test Standard

In testXpert® II you find
the right standard for
every test. Just select the
desired test program. All
parameters are pre-
configured to standard.
You can of course adjust
these if you wish.

Enter Specimen Dimensions

Measure the dimensions of your
specimen with slide gages or any
other electronic measuring device.
With its force-zero-control
testXpert® II ensures the specimen
is not affected by forces which
may arise during clamping. In this
way measurement results are not
falsified. Now start the testing
process.

Materials testing is that easy when you let

testXpert® II do the work for you!

Test
The individual data are displayed on the monitor -
online as part of the test procedure. You can follow
the test procedure live. If desired you can also
incorporate an exactly synchronized video
recording.

The results are already calculated during the test

so that the test procedure can be event-
managed, e.g., by speed change after determining
the E-modulus or the yield point. Only in this
manner can the test be performed quickly and
according to standard.

Evaluation of Test Results

In testXpert® II you can create many different screen
layouts according to your needs. For example: With
other graphs, various representations of the testing
curves, tables and additional statistics. With one click
you can switch between the various layouts, thus
changing the representation of your test results.

For processing the test results testXpert® II offers a

variety of tools: e.g., the report editor for creating an
individual test report, or various export possibilities, e.g.,
in Excel or Word.

 Online Language Swapping

Needless to say, you can have

testXpert® II in your language of
choice. testXpert® II speaks
more than one language - all
you need to do is click the
mouse in order to change the language.

Language swapping is a function which can be

changed at any time, e.g. when setting-up the test
report: You can automatically change the test report

in another language and mail it to

someone directly from testXpert® II.
In other words testXpert® II is
saving you time and effort!

Flexible testXpert® II language swapping offers international teams language-

independent operation of their testing machine as well as considerably
simplified communication.

 Extensive User Management

Should users only use functions

from a defined field of responsibility?
Or do you wish to facilitate their
work by fading out functions in the
menu bar which they do not need?
You can do either or both with the powerful
User Management of testXpert® II.

Choose from either the default user groups or

define your own user groups: You can allow
or block any of the menu points, standard
actions (e.g. printing test report) or test
programs. In this way you can avoid input
mistakes and prevent data manipulation.

 Expanded Traceability
according to FDA

testXpert® II generally records all

testing activities to make your results
traceable. When does who do what, and why?

The ‘Expanded Traceability’ is

available in particular for critical
applications: This function offers all
the tools needed - together with
organizational procedures - to
comply with the requirements
demanded by FDA 21 CFR part
11, the highest security level
currently existing.

Your administrator determines what needs to

be protocolled and for which procedures and
events the user needs to input explanations.
Following this, all relevant action, events and
changes in essential data are recorded and
archived.

In combination with the User Management,

this function offers your administrator the tools
necessary to clearly control access of the test
machine and the measurement data.

Nobody can offer you more security!

 Exactly Synchronized Video Recording

Only testXpert® II offers you an image-for-

image, exactly synchronized video recording of
your test.

You can interpret the measuring curve of the

test efficiently with the help of the recorded image changes of
the specimen.

You can record the test procedure with a

video camera. testXpert® II saves the
recorded images synchronized with
the measurement data. The visual
recording shows, for example, when,
how and where the specimen constricts,
buckles or changes color. The alterations
in specimen dimensions can be
measured exactly from the frozen
images.

In addition, before the test you can define

the events for which you want images,
for example the point in a cycle when
compression switches over into tensile stress.
Afterwards, you can print these pictures or
integrate them into the test report.

Thanks to the synchronized video recording, the

test procedure can be recalled or compared at any
later time.

testXpert® II communicates with the central data

A Standard Test Program is a test

solution for a special standard, and
thus the ideal solution for carrying
out standard tests - with
guaranteed compliance to
standards! With this program, you can get started
right away.

You can be sure that all the 500

currently available testXpert® II Stan-
dard Test Programs are guaranteed
to comply with the standards they
are based upon. Our experts have
already taken into consideration that
requirements usually exceed the pure
standard in your industry.

Example: You have a metal specimen which you

wish to test according to DIN EN 10002-1. A
Standard Test Program covers this standard
completely and reliably. You will be guided
through all preparatory steps until the start of the
test. That is all it takes.

Customized Test Program

With Customized Test Programs we offer you a

test procedure which is designed according to
your own specifications, e.g., putting your
own factory standards into action. Here of course
the same quality requirements apply as for our testXpert® II Standard
Test Programs.

 Master Test Program

A Master Test Program is

based on a fundamental
principle of the test
procedure.

We offer Master Test Programs for:

• Tensile tests
• Compression and flexure tests
• Tear propagation, adhesion and peel tests
• Cyclic tests

On the basis of pre-defined or self-defined

parameters you can individually determine
the details of your test procedure. We have
integrated a couple of options into a Master
Test Program to make things easier and
provide the necessary latitude: Result,
Channel, Layout, Export and Report Editor (options are
depicted on page 18/19). Example: You wish to carry out a tensile test and thus

Editor

The Graphical
Sequence Editor offers

possibly hope. It enables you to design test
procedures of any kind very individually, by
combining test events, parameters and
results exactly as you require.

The intelligent construction of the

Graphical Sequence Editor makes your
work easy. You do not require any
programming knowledge because the
graphical base makes for quick
familiarization with the functionality.

The integrated simulation mode offers you security: It

analyzes the test procedure you have created incorporating
a virtual testing machine. You thus filter out errors from the
test procedure in the early stages, and all this without
destroying a single specimen.

The Graphical Sequence Editor is especially suited to component

testing, research purposes and anywhere individual complex
test procedures need to be realized.
Example: You want to drive back and
forth between two targets within a test
sequence. Use the mouse to select the
module for targeting and place it.
Decide the parameters for the first
target. Proceed accordingly with the
second target. You can enter the
number of loops in the loop module
underneath it, and then reconnect it to
the beginning. At the same time, a limit
can be monitored during this process.

respective module.

If you carry out a variety of standard DIN ASTM I
tests in your industry then this is the ISO DIN AS
ideal solution. The Standard Industry
Packages include all the important ASTM ISO

User Management This allows you assign certain functions, give access permission to
various users and save their specific user settings.

Expanded Traceability This option records, by default, all activities before during and after the

LIMS Administer and archive all test results comfortably and clearly with this
powerful database.

Language Swapping Use this option if you wish to create and evaluate your test results in

related to tests in a central location. For instance, your company logo or
test report templates are directly available in all test programs.

Result Editor If you need additional results to analyze your specimen, the Result Editor
offers you intelligent wizards to create these in no time at all.

Channel Editor Should you need additional physical or computed channels choose this
function.

Layout Editor This function allows you to create as many screen layouts as you wish.
Thereby you always have an eye on your data, displayed just as you
want it. For example, measuring curves, statistics and results in the first
layout, a special close-up of the measuring curve in the next layout etc.

Report Editor Individual test reports have the advantage that they can be designed
according to their application. Therefore, several reports can be defined
with this option and saved with the test programs.

Export Editor You want to export your results through ODBC in a variety of databases?
Or you wish to save them as ASCII format? With this function you can
manage all that very simply with a click of the mouse. The same is true
for transmitting whole test protocol in Word, converting to PDFs, or
automatic dispatches by e-mail...

Upload/Download Beside a large range of export functionalities, this option offers the
possibility to import data of a superior QM System. This data includes
specimen dimensions, test settings or a test program that should be
used.

Video Capturing For an exactly synchronized video recording of the test. Thus the test
procedure can be recalled or compared at any later point. In addition,
before the test you can define the events for which you want images.

Advanced Control Mode This option enables, in combination with testControl, the control of the
crosshead movement in true strain or simple formular channels. The
control in true strain guarantees a constant partial strain speed for
plastics and elastomers with high elongations.
