RESOLUTION NO. 01
SERIES OF 2023

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE BARANGAY ECOLOGICAL SOLID WASTE

MANAGEMENT (BESWM) PLAN 2024 OF BARANGAY MATE, CITY OF TAYABAS.

WHEREAS, as stated in RA 9003 shall be known as the "Ecological Solid Waste

Management Act of 2000.", an act providing for an ecological solid waste management program,
creating the necessary institutional mechanisms and incentives, declaring certain acts prohibited and
providing penalties, appropriating funds therefor, and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Segregation and collection of solid waste shall be conducted at the

barangay level specifically for biodegradable, compostable and reusable wastes;

WHEREAS, to ensure the proper segregation, collection, transport, storage, treatment and
disposal of solid waste through the formulation and adoption of the best environmental practice in
ecological waste management excluding incineration

WHEREAS, for the FY 2024, BESWM Plan will be amounting to thirtyone thousand
pesos (Php 31, 000.00)

NOW THEREFORE, on the motion of Councilor FAUSTION G. BALMES and duly

seconded by Councilor IMELDA A. ZARACENA be it RESOLVED, as it is hereby being
resolved to approve Resolution No. 01, series of 2023 entitled “A RESOLUTION
APPROVING THE BARANGAY ECOLOGICAL SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT
(BESWM) PLAN 2024 OF BARANGAY MATE, CITY OF TAYABAS.”

APPROVED this 27th day of September, 2023 at Barangay Mate, Tayabas City.

RESOLUTION NO. 01
 SERIES OF 2023

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE ANNUAL WORK AND FINANCIAL PLAN (AWFP)

OF BCPC OF BARANGAY MATE, CITY OF TAYABAS FOR THE YEAR 2024 AND
REQUESTING ALLOCATION OF FUNDS THEREOF;

WHEREAS, Section 15 of RA 9344 known as the “Juvinille Justice and Welfare Act of
2006” mandates the LGU to established their respectives Local Council for the Protection of
Childre at the City/Municipality/Barangay level to allocate 1% of Internal Revenue Allotment for
strengthening and implementation of projects, programs and activites (PPA’s).

WHEREAS, the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children is a body organized in
the Barangay that promotes and safeguard the rights of children.

WHEREAS, the BCPC formulated a plan that contains Programs, Projects and Activities
(PPA’s) that will address child’s right to survival, protection, development and participation of
children.

NOW THEREFORE, on the motion of Sangguniang Barangay member LELEBITH L.

MARMOL and duly seconded by Sangguniang member EDELITO V. RAQUEL, it was.

RESOLVED, to adopt the ANNUAL WORK AND FINANCIAL PLAN OF BCPC”

and request funds for its implementation for the year 2024 and to be integrated to Annual
Investment Plan (AIP) 2024 of Barangay Mate, City of Tayabas.

RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this Resolution be furmished the office of the
Sangguniang Barangay and and all concerned for their information, appropriate action and
approval.

SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT (BESWM) CY-2024 OF BARANGAY MATE, CITY OF
TAYABAS AND REQUESTING ALLOCATION OF FUNDS AMOUNTING THIRTYONE
THOUSAND PESOS (Php 31, 000.00) THEREOF;

WHEREAS, as stated in RA 9003 shall be known as the "Ecological Solid Waste

Management Act of 2000.", an act providing for an ecological solid waste management program,
creating the necessary institutional mechanisms and incentives, declaring certain acts prohibited and
providing penalties, appropriating funds therefor, and for other purposes;

WHEREAS, Section 389 (b) (9) provides that, for efficient, effective and economical
governance, the purpose of which is the general welfare of the Barangay and its inhabitants pursuant
to Section 16 of the Local Government Code of 1991, the Punong Barangay shall enforce laws and
regulations relating to pollution control and protection of the environment;

WHEREAS, the BESWM Council formulated a plan that contains Programs, Projects
and Activities (PPA's) that will respond to maintaining the cleanliness of the environment in the
barangay;

NOW THEREFORE, on the motion of Sangguniang Barangay member Councilor

FAUSTINO G. BALMES and duly seconded by Sangguniang member Councilor EDELITO V.
RAQUEL, it was.

RESOLVED, to approved the BESWM PLAN and request funds for its implementation
for the year 2024 and to be integrated to Annual Investment Plan (AIP) 2024 of Barangay Mate,
City of Tayabas.

RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this Resolution be furmished the office of all
concerned for their information and reference.
