impression about Granny Weatherall's character:
Vulnerability, Despite her outward strength, Granny Weatherall carries emotional scars from
being jilted at the altar in her youth. This event has left a lasting impact on her, and she thinks
about it even on her deathbed. This vulnerability is evident when she says, "Wounded vanity,
Ellen," revealing that her past still haunts her.
Spirituality: Granny Weatherall's Catholic faith is an essential aspect of her character. She
mentions going to Holy Communion and recites prayers. Her interactions with Father
Connolly and her thoughts about her soul and confession show her spiritual side.

2. Why is She named “Weatherall” ?

Granny Weatherall's name, with "weather" in it, suggests someone who can withstand life's
storms and challenges with resilience. However, the story reveals that despite her seemingly
strong exterior, Granny carries deep emotional wounds and unresolved issues from her past.
