SHANGHAI to IZMIT
1.00 INTRODUCTION
1.01 At the request of CMA CGM S.A, and the instructions received from CMA CGM
(China) Shipping Co. Ltd., we / Deehun Marine Surveyors Co. Ltd. did, on January
30, 2024, attend at
to carry out a survey at berth no.4, Phase No.1, Yangshan Shengdong International
Container Terminal, Port of Shanghai, P. R. China, for the purpose of executing a
monitoring loading operation and securing, and cargo condition survey on the
subject vessel.
1.02 Our instructions were that we act as the independent surveyor and carried out the survey
without prejudice to this matter.
1.03 This report is prepared for the purpose of obtaining professional advice in proceedings,
threatened or anticipated.
1.04 The time or hour in this report is local time (GMT + 8 hours).

3.02 SHIP’S MOVEMENT
M.V “CMA CGM G.WASHINGTON”, voyage no. 0BXHBW1MA, was loaded with 4
wind turbine generators as break bulk cargo on 1 bed of 7 x 40’ FRs last two tiers at bay
74 under deck at Port of Shanghai and destination to Izmit. The vessel came from
Zhoushan shipyard and arrived at Shanghai at 2100 hours LT on January 21, 2024 and
pilot onboard for berthing at 1049 hours LT on January 30. She got alongside at berth
No.4, Phase No.1, Yangshan Shengdong International Container Terminal at 1221 hours
LT on January 30, 2024 and she was commenced cargo operation at Shanghai at 1300
hours LT after entry clearance. The loading operation for 4 wind turbine generators as
break bulk cargo was commenced at 1433 hours LT and completed it at 1526 hours LT on
January 30. The securing operation was inspected and approved at 1600 hours LT on the
same day. The vessel departed from Shanghai to Ningbo at about 1230 hours LT on
January 31, 2024 as scheduled.
4.01 The cargo was inspected at the open yard of Shanghai Shengdong International
Container Terminal on January 30, 2024 and monitored the loading and securing
operation on the subject vessel.
4.03 Loading operation on January 30 (weather condition: light fog, gentle breeze, 90C):

All personnel at the site were wearing safety helmets and protective masks.
5.03 The cargo was loaded by shore gantry on 1 bed of 7 x 40’ flat racks under deck at bay 74
in last two tiers. The loading operation was commenced at 1433 hours LT and completed
at 1526 hours LT on January 30, 2024, securing operation was finished at 1600 hours LT
on the same day. The lashing operation was monitored by carrier’s surveyor and duty
officer, also inspected and approved by the Chief Officer of the said vessel.
5.04 All lashing materials were certified, and securing manner was considered proper/firm
and suited to the cargo in good seamanship, and it’s seaworthy as per calculation
program according to requirements of “CSM of IMO 2003 edition, annex 13” and to
withstand normal possible perils at sea for the present voyage to the discharging port.
Ship’s commander was suggested: when possible checking securing condition everyday
at sea and issue “Sea Protest” if BF wind force scale ≥ 8 to protect carrier’s interests.
