Analog in the Box APEq Skin Setup

Before using this skin, you need AITB APEq library


installed and authorized.

Open your Nebula4 location

MAC /Library/Audio/Presets/AcusticaAudio/Nebula4/
PC C:\nebula4temprepository\ (or other location you installed Nebula4)

From my skin.ZIP -> to your N4 location (with overwrite) :


Copy contents of "Programs" folder to your Nebula4 “Programs”
Copy contents of "Properties" folder to your Nebula4 “Properties”
Copy contents of "Skins" folder to your Nebula4 “Skins”
Copy contents of "Setups" folder to your Nebula4 “Setups”
Move to Trash N4/Temp folder contents (don’t worry it will be re-built at next N4 launch)

Run your DAW (with Admin rights) and enter N4 [Setups] menu (1)

Double-click mouse following lines (2) depending sample-rate needed *


* check TROUBLESHOOTING section at last page, if you having Programs Missing error at this step. 2

(3) Select your plugin format/s, in opened window

(4) Don’t touch anything else, press button at window bottom *

Rescan plugins in your DAW


Use a NEW PLUGIN created by N4 Setups:

• API 550b AITB

Don’t use N4 Program browser to load this library after skin installed.
ADD INFO about “Programs” folder, provided:

“Programs” folder provided with the skin package, contains slightly modified library
programs. The modification’s purpose is to reduce or smooth out the unfamous “Ripple”
artifact, as much as possible. You can use them, or not, it’s optional

This library has a low ripple as is, but i decided to additionally fix it. This means each and
every program was adjusted and fine-tuned for better performance.

Nebula3 users SETUP INFO (VST2, Windows)

1. Copy contents of “Skins” and “Setups” folders to corresponding Nebula3 folders.


2. Duplicate Nebula3 Reverb.dll and Nebula3 Reverb.xml files.
3. Rename both to “API 550b AITB”, keeping their extensions.
4. Open XML in text editor. Edit <> tags to this values:

<SETUPROMNAME> API 550b AITB.XML </SETUPROMNAME>


<SKINNAME> AITB_APEQ.N2S </SKINNAME>
<DSPBUFFER> 512 </DSPBUFFER>
<GUIRATE> 10000 </GUIRATE>
<OFREQD> 11 </OFREQD>
<SCANBOOT> 0 </SCANBOOT>
<FASTBOOT> 0 </FASTBOOT>

You will end up with new VST plugin:

• API 550b AITB


TROUBLESHOOTING
If you experiencing troubles with Nebula4 Setups, please refer to N4_setups_manual.PDF
Check the Settings > Setups page of your N4 Settings and make sure it’s configured correctly.

If you having the “Programs missing” error message: If the problem still persist, try this workaround:

1) Skip the "programs missing" message by pressing OK


2) Choose your plugin format checkbox and press SAVE
3) Copy contents from my (skin zip) Setups folder to
your N4 location Setups folder overwriting the files
4) Use plugin in your DAW, after rescan new plugins.
Make sure you using the latest version of library
(check the developer website for the lib updates) VERY IMPORTANT to do all steps EXACTLY as described
