Why are duck hair clips trending? Citizens in the Philippines may have "bandwagon
syndrome" said by a Professor at the University Of The Philippines-Diliman. People
tend to imitate all the trends in Pop Culture, said by Dr. Jimmuel Naval, Dean. DepEd
doesn't mind the Duck Hair Clip saying "It won't hurt the class". But why did it become a
trend?

Filipinos love the new fashion trend of duck hair clips, buying it to be trendy in their
group of friends. DepEd assistant secretary stated that it will not bring any harm in the
classroom what so ever. Professor from different universities hope that the trend will not
fade, because of the great business of Filipinos with the hair clips. Filipino sellers of the
hair clips has gained a significantly greater income because of the up and coming
fashion trend. Being there is no harm or any hazard with wearing this, Filipinos
nationwide will be seen wearing this.

We Filipinos have a phenomenon called "Bandwagon syndrome". Every new trend, we

often imitate, futher solidifying the point, an example just like the hair clips is the Coffee
and Milk Tea trend. The hair clip is in our today's pop culture. But, the Duck Hair clip
trend isn't special, it is just like any other trend. Given the time this trend has been on
going, it will be a long-term trend for Filipinos.

In conclusion, the duck hair is no exception from any other trends. We Filipinos will
imitate any that will give us attention of people. The "Bandwagon syndrome" affects us
Filipinos, but, the trend does not harm any body, getting the approval of DepEd. UP
Professors did the research about the Duck Hair clips, and they hope it does not fall of
as a trend for the Filipinos sellers profit. For me, it does not make any harm, is may
sometimes be a distraction, yes, but overall very cute, making it okay for me and
everyone around me wearing it, overall for me, it is okay for you to wear it, because the
fashion trend is cute, harmless, and doesn't affect the day-to-day life we all have.
