THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

Introduction
The lack of school facilities can have a significant impact on the academic
competencies of the students
of pantalan senior high school . School facilities include buildings, classrooms, libraries,
laboratories, and
other resources necessary for learning. Without adequate facilities, students may face
several
challenges that can hinder their academic progress.
Inadequate classroom facilities such as poorly ventilated classrooms, inadequate
lighting, and
insufficient seating can lead to discomfort and distraction, which can affect students’
concentration and
ability to learn. Students may struggle to understand the subject matter being taught
and may miss key
concepts.
A lack of resources like textbooks, computers, and other educational tools can limit
students’ ability to
conduct research, practice skills, and apply concepts learned in class. This lack of
access to resources can
leave students of Pantalan Senior High School at disadvantage compared to those who
have access to
these facilities.
Lack of extracurricular facilities like sports fields, gymnasiums, and music rooms can
limit the
development of students’ physical and creative abilities. These activities are essential
for the overall
development of students, and a lack of such facilities can deprive them of opportunities
to develop their
talents and interests.

THE STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

This research aims to know the impact of lack of school facilities in on academic
learning of students in
Pantalan senior high school. Time goes by our school has its numbers of students
increasing and senior
high school this leads to over used in school facilities such as classrooms comfort
rooms and many other
infrastructures.
Specifically this research seeks to answer the following:

1. What are the consequences of the lack of school facilities in academic learning
quality of Pantalan senior
high school.
2.) how are the students affected by the lack of facilities in Pantalan senior high school
in terms of:
2.a)performance
2.b)motivation
2.3)engagement

3.)What plan of action can you suggest to improve the academic learning competencies
of students like you Pantalan Senior High School

SCOPE, LIMITATION AND DELIMITATION OF THE STUDY

The scope of our topic is to know the impact academic competencies in Pantalan senior
high school and
the effect on the process of learning of students because of the lack of school facilities
or infrastructures
in Pantalan senior high school how does it affect the students due to their in terms of
performance,
motivation and engagement
The different aspects that will affect the students learning quality will be leaved out in
this research. This
study is focusing on the main topic which is the effect on students academic
competencies due to the
lack of school facilities in Pantalan senior high school thus, it will only focus on the main
effect of lack of
school facilities only any un necessary concern will not be included.
Any issues that will affect the students academic competencies except for lack of school
facilities will be
leaved out thus, this study will focus more on its topic which is the effect on academic
competencies of
the students of Pantalan senior high school due to the lack of school facilities. Any other
reasons or
complaints will noy be included.
This research limits only to the sampled respondents of this study which is the students
of pantalan
senior high school.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The lack of school facilities can have a significant impact on the academic
competencies of students in
Pantalan senior high school . facilities, such as classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and
sports facilities,

are essential for providing students with a conducive learning environment. When these
facilities are
inadequate or unavailable, learners may face a range of challenges that can negatively
affect their
academic performance.
This research will benefit the teachers, students and the community inside the campus.
For the researchers they will be able to identify the issues affecting the study of the
students in Pantalan
senior high school.
For future researchers they can use this as a motivation to study hard, to compare the
past and the
present state of learning quality of Pantalan senior high school.
