FOREWORD

Reading is the first step to literacy skill. Literacy skills development of every learner is a need before learning other subject areas. A
learner meets hardships of understanding other lessons if reading comprehension skills are not fully developed.

This module is designed particularly for special children with Intellectual Learning Disability. It aimed to make them gain mastery
in basic literacy skill. That’s why, it focuses on vowel identification and recognition, consonant identification and sound recognition.

May this module make every learner with Intellectual Learning Disability, receives the most essential tool to their first step to
literacy.
