Words are formed by combining of letters simple by
adding additional letters or syllables before or after a
word and the meaning will be change.

AFFIXES.
Affixes are the letters and/or syllables added at the
beginning or at the end of the base word.

Examples of suffixes are -or, -ly, -ful, -less, un-, im-,


re-.

Affixes are classified into two:

The prefixes are an affix which is placed before a


base word. When a prefix is added to a base word, a
new word with a new meaning is formed.
