GRADE 4 *** SEMESTER II
❖ AIM: This test is designed to test the students’ oral language ability at the end of
semester II.
❖ TESTER:
✓ All of the students will be tested by the FOREIGN TEACHER.
✓ The Vietnamese teaching assistant controls the class during the speaking test.
❖ TIME ALLOWANCE: Max: 3 mins/ a student (including 1 minute to prepare)
❖ PROCEDURE: The test is divided into 2 parts:
 Interview. (1p) ➔ 0.25ps for each correct answer
• Students have to answer 4 out of 6 questions
• The teacher begins the test with the following method: Testing individually
(Each student interacts with the teacher) within the time limit.
❖ The teacher asks, and students answer, any four of the
questions.Example: T: How are you?
S: I’m fine.
❖ Each student gets 0.25 points for each correct answer:
✓ for grammar,
✓ for pronunciation,
✓ for the best reaction with the greatest fluency.
 Look and answer the questions. (1.5ps) ➔ 0.5ps for each correct answer.
• Students answer three questions on ONE picture.
• The teacher begins the test with the following method: Testing individually
