Introduction:

First I want to talk about the title of the movie.

We can see the unusual spelling ‘’happynnes’’(with uai) instead of happiness (with ai). And
this comes from a graffiti Chris Gardner saw outside the daycare facility where his son was
going.

Later In the movie we can see that Chris understands that happiness is something that we
must pursue and we can’t have it, because he remembers Thomas Jefferson and his
declaration of independence where he said

"Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness."

In short, this movie shows us the struggles of a salesman from rags to riches, to his
happiness.

What is about?

The story began in 1981, When Chris Gardner lived with his wife, Linda and his son,
Christopher in a simple apartment in San Francisco.

Chris earn money selling portable bone scanners to doctors at the hospitals, but many
doctors think they were unnecessary luxuries, this influenced the financial conditions of his
family and causes his wife left him.

Chris continued trying to sell his scanners, and one day he meets a happy stock broker with
his red Ferrari car. After this he decided to become a stock broker, then he impressed a
manager of Dean Witter (an american brokerage company) by solving a rubik’s cube, and
he gives him the chance to become an stock broker, but he had to convince the company's
partners in an interview.

Meanwhile Chris's economic situation got worse to the point he became homeless and had
to sleep in the bathroom of a subway station.

Finally at the end of the film, Chris passed the training program and was accepted to start
his career as a stock broker in Dean Witter.

Due to an unfortunate turn of events Chris appears in a interview without having taken a
shower, no shirt, only a jacket, and paint spilt all over him.
And despite his appearance he managed to convince to all the company partners

Work Hard & Work Smart

During his six month training program , unlike others, he had to care about his son and this
meant he had to finish his work faster and leave early.

Pursue happiness

He remembered Thomas Jefferson and his declaration of independence where he put

pursuit the happiness like I said before in the introduction.

In conclusion this movie it's a very inspiring life story and what we learn from this movie is
the meaning of the phrase no Pain no Gain.. Anyone who is serious and persistent in
getting something, will get it. This movie tells us how difficult it’s to pursue the happiness.
because many things could be sacrificed to get our dream, This means that if we want gain
something, we should work very hard.
