d. Project Description
The project "CHAIRish Unity: Repairing Damaged Seats to Promote Peace" aims to repair the HSS
(History Student Society) Kiosk, with a particular focus on fixing the damaged seating area, or “upuan.” Taking
note of the hassle that other students have experienced and considering that we, firstyear students, and our seniors
frequently use the kiosk during class, this initiative aims to improve the space’s accessibility and comfort. While
the “upuan” will be physically restored, the project also aims to improve general use and make the space more
friendly and open for all HSS members. The project’s estimated expenses of 2, 900 – 3, 000 pesos will cover the
costs for the supplies needed for the repair, ensuring a budget-friendly renovation. Also, we decided not to hire
labor since it will just add to our expenses; rather, we will use the manpower of our male group members to manage
the sizing and hammer-work, while the females will assist during the process of repair. The goal of “CHAIRish
Unity: Repairing Demaged Seats to Promote Peace” project is to create an open and peaceful environment for its
members that encourages social and educational interaction.

b. Rationale
The “CHAIRish Unity: Repairing Damaged Seats to Promote Peace” project seeks to establish a
transformative initiative that goes beyond mere repair activities. The History Student Society kiosk has damaged
seats, which is very dangerous if there are a lot of people seated there. At the kiosk, a lot of students hang out,
relax, and study—especially students taking history. There are other professors who use this place for their classes.
For this is why we thought about improving the safety and convenience of the seats at the History Student Society
Kiosk for everyone, especially the history majors and students who attend classes there. In response to this,
CHAIRish Unity: Repairing Damaged Seats to Promote Peace” project is created. By repairing damage seats, we
hope to fix the specific area for where the students come, rest and interact together.
To physically restore the HSS Kiosk, with a specific focus on repairing the I’lldamage seating area, or
"upuan," to create a more comfortable and visually appealing space for all HSS members.
To improve the area's accessibility and provide a setting that makes students and educators alike feel safe
and carefree.
To create an engaging and peaceful environment that encourages social interaction and intellectual
involvement, thereby enhancing the history student society's seating area.
