Good afternoon everyone, my name is NNKD, member of group 5.2.

I’d like to
introduce my group to you. Here are A, B, C,…Today our topic is Halloween, the
purpose of our presentation is to let you know more about Halloween. We’ve
divided our presentation into 5 parts: We’ll start with overview, then… next…
finally…Should you have any questions, please save them until the end of our
presentation.
Let’s start with overview:
Halloween: a contraction of “All Hallows’ evening”, less commonly known as
Allhalloween, All Hallows' Eve, or All Saints' Eve
It is a holiday celebrated each year on October 31, the eve of the Western
Christian feast of All Hallows' Day.
It begins the observance of Allhallowtide, the time in the liturgical year dedicated
to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the departed.
Although it's derived from ancient festivals and religious rituals, Halloween is still
widely celebrated today in a number of countries around the globe, such as the
United States, Mexico, Canada, Ireland, England,….
Versions of the holiday are quite different in some countries and regions, such as
Ireland, Canada and the United States, traditions include costume parties, trick-or-
treating, pranks and games. In Mexico and other Latin American countries, the
Day of the Dead—honors deceased loved ones and ancestors. In England, Guy
Fawkes Day, which falls on November 5, is commemorated with bonfires and
fireworks.
Okay, that ends the third part of our talk. I’d like to end with a summary of the
main points:

Thank you for taking time out to listen to our presentation. And now if there are
any questions, we would be pleased to answer them.
