Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

First, I would like to thank our God and all His blessings that we can gather in this place in
good condition. On this chance, I would like to give a speech about the “Indonesia
Independence Day.” But before we start, I also would like to thank our heroes who have
fallen for the sake of this country, those fighting for freedom from the colonial and other
threats that endanger the country, Indonesia. Therefore, let’s pray for them now, and may
God forgive them for what they’ve done.

17th August is a holy day for Indonesia country. On that date, our homeland commemorates
the Day of Independence. We always celebrate this day each year to pay respect for what
our heroes did by successfully retreating our enemies. To celebrate this day more
meaningfully, we do a flag ceremony and make an event like a local contest.

We hope our beloved country will always be thriving from time to time so that the people
who fought and struggled for the sake of our nation will not be in vain. Just start by studying
and working for the country.

At this moment of the birth of Indonesia’s Independence Day, let’s gather our feelings to
love and contribute more to our country. If a nation is without its people, how can a big
country live without the people who contributed to it?

Therefore, we need to unite our power and spirit for the country and start with a student to
study and an adult to work as it does.
