"A Second Chance" - A story about a couple who broke up and then

unexpectedly found their way back to each other.

Emily and Jake had been together for years, living their love that everyone wished they
would have. However, after graduation they separated on different paths of life. After that,
they agreed to part ways; they knew that separation was a reality, which tore them apart.

They lived apart for many years. Emily went into marketing in New York and was very
successful. Jake, on the other hand, fulfilled his dream of being a great wildlife
photographer and traveled all over the globe capturing magnificent pictures of natural
wonders.

The love was still there even though one of them had traveled so far away to forget. This
took her back to memories of their laughter memories, their dreams and the time when
they really understood each other. Just as with Jake however, Emily’s smile remained
etched in his mind.

On one day of fate, Emily’s firm dispatched her into the deep forest of South America to
promote new products that had to be unveiled by such kind. While wandering through the
green jungle, her phone ran out of battery and she became isolated from the rest of the
world. With no other option, she was forced by a crowd of local guides to follow them to
the first village with electricity that could be found.

Ironically, Jake was also taking photos of the rare animals in the same jungle as Emily did not
know about it. He was busy searching for the elements of nature at that moment inside the forest
and met a group of lost tourists. Among them, and to his surprise, there was Emily.

Their eyes met in disbelief. They both froze and embraced in the middle of the jungle, as if time
had come to a stop. At that instant, the outside world disappeared and only they existed in a
cocoon of wild. This love lay buried under practicalities of life until it was revived again.

Over a few days, they wandered through the jungles together recounting tales of their
estrangement, their dreams and the things which they had sorrows over but failed in life.
The timing seemed almost fated that, on an otherwise normal day, they found themselves
reunited under incredible circumstances.

After venturing into the jungle, they went back to their former lives; however, it was
impossible for them not to recognize a second opportunity of being in each other’s arms
bestowed upon them by fate. They agreed to meet at regular intervals, and eventually,
this love was reignited.

Eventually, Emily moved nearer to Jake’s city, where they embraced an existential
experience of adventure interspersed with laughter and unconditional love It confirmed
how true love, indeed, could return if it existed deeply inside. The story of a second
attempt became an example of this.
