MECHANICS
AND RULES OF
CHEERDANCE
COMPETITION
 Each participating team is
entitled to enter only (1) official
group composed of eligible
performers (Male and Female) not
less than twenty (20) and not more
than twenty-five (25) in
number.
 An additional number of
participants may be included who
shall serve as spotters and/or props
men for team. The spotters and/or
props men must wear black
uniform (t-shirt, pants and shoes)
 All performers must be
bonafide enrolled students of the
school.
 The entire duration of the
performance must not less than 6
minutes and not exceed for 8
minutes, inclusive of 30 seconds
pre-setting and 30 seconds
exit/pack-up and clean-up.
 Routine must be within a
minimum of 4 minutes and 30
seconds to a maximum of 5
minutes.
 Five points shall be deducted
from the final score of each
participating team for every thirty
(30)
seconds, or increment thereof, in
excess of the allocated for (10)
minutes, inclusive of 30

 All performers must be bonafide enrolled students of the school.
 Team advisers willing to join the routine is optional.
 The entire duration of the performance must not less than 6 minutes and not exceed for 8
minutes, inclusive of 30 seconds pre-setting and 30 seconds exit/pack-up and clean-up.
 Routine must be within a minimum of 4 minutes and to a maximum of 7 minutes.

limit of only two (2) handheld
“safe props” to be used by the
performers (ex. Pompoms, Flag

banner/streamer .
 There shall be no dangerous
lifting formation during the
presentation to avoid any accident
or
serious injuries.
 A panel of judges shall
determine the winners based on the
foregoing criteria. Any violations
of
the foregoing rules may be used as
a ground for disqualification or
otherwise cause the
appropriate 5 point deduction on
the final score. The decision of the
panel shall be final
