Remote Software Tester wanted in Romania

About the role

An exciting opportunity for a talented tester to work remotely
on assessing the software quality for a quantum computing
startup based in Switzerland has opened up.

You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs for a

greenfield quantum cloud platform. The position is completely
remote and you’ll be part of a small team where you will be
reporting directly to the product owner.

The right candidate must be experienced in writing and

executing test cases, have a keen eye for detail and excellent
communication skills, have a passion for quality and delivering
business value; but most importantly be a great team player.

In return, the successful candidate will gain great exposure to

working on a modern greenfield SaaS product in an agile
environment. You'll be gaining experience using a wide range of
modern technologies and techniques and have the opportunity
to contribute to building a next generation quantum cloud
platform.

Main responsibilities

● Review and analyse product and system specifications

● Building and executing detailed test plans from functional
requirements
● Writing test cases, executing tests and recording the
results
● Responsible for all aspects of quality assurance manual
testing of the frontend
● Conducting defect triage meetings providing details about
the defects to the team
● Accurate and concise bug reports
● Help troubleshoot issues
● Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing

Requirements

● Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing

● An ability to rapidly grasp and apply complex business and
technical concepts
● Entrepreneurial in your approach and able to work with
minimal supervision
● Must have a sound understanding of the software
development lifecycle
● Attention to detail
● Expert with JIRA or a similar bug tracking tool
● Familiarity with data science applications is a big plus
● Experience in writing automated tests is a plus
● Excellent communication and teamwork skills
● Great attention to detail
● English speaking
