Maintenance Practices in Industry

Chapter 3 of the textbook provides an overview of various maintenance strategies used in


industry. This assignment aims to look into these strategies by investigating their application
to a specific equipment in an industrial setting. Each student is tasked with presenting a
maintenance strategy for a particular equipment used in industry. The presentation should cover
the following aspects for each maintenance strategy:
- Identify and briefly describe the equipment chosen for study.
- Discuss the type of maintenance strategy used for the selected equipment. This may
include preventive maintenance, risk-based maintenance, predictive maintenance,
prescriptive maintenance, or other relevant strategies.
- Explain how each maintenance strategy is implemented in the context of the selected
equipment. Highlight any specific processes, procedures, or protocols involved.
- Explore the tools, techniques, and technologies used for maintenance activities
corresponding to each maintenance strategy.
In your conclusion, each student must provide an overview of the whole findings of the group.
Compare the similarities and differences between the maintenance strategies presented by each
student. Each student must have their own conclusion/analysis of the different strategies
presented.

Assignment Requirements:
Each student must present a unique maintenance strategy for a specific equipment.
This should be 12 pt Times New Roman with single spacing.
Margins should be normal
The assignment should not exceed 4 (3 members) – 5 (4 members) pages in length.
Ensure that the Turnitin similarity index does not exceed 30%.
Maintain conciseness and originality in your presentation.
Note: Students are encouraged to use diagrams, charts to illustrate key points and enhance
clarity in their presentations.
