Class- VII Subject- Mathematics

Session- 2023-24 Topic- Area Perimeter and Volume Duration- 20 minutes

Q1. Draw a net and find the surface area of the right triangular prism shown below

Q2. Find the surface area of the triangular prism with the measurements seen in the image.

Q3. Find the total surface area of a hollow cylinder open at both the ends, if its length is
12cm, external diameter is 8cm and the thickness is 2cm . (π = 22/7)
Q4. How many square centimeters of construction paper does Reema need in order to
exactly cover, with no overlap, 5 sides of a cube with edges that are 12 centimeters long?

Q1. 12 x11 + 13 x11+ 5x11 + 2( ½ x 5x12 ) = 390cm2

Q2. 2 x ½ x (6x4) +15x5 + 15X 6 +15x5 = 264cm2

Q3. Given for the hollow cylinder with open at both ends, length is h=12 cm, external
diameter is 8 cm and the thickness is 2 cm.

Then external radius is r=4 cm and internal radius is =4−2=2 cm.

Now the total surface area of the hollow cylinder will be,

=2×π×(4−2)× 12

= 150.9 cm2
Q4. Length of side =a=12cm

Area of one face of cube =a2=122=144cm2

⇒ Area of 5 faces of cube =5a2=5×144

=720cm2
