Although doing homework seems like wasting time, it helps us to gain responsibility.

Whether or not people learn to take responsibility throughout their lives. There are numerous
responsibilities. One such responsibility is homework, which significantly aids in our learning process.
There is currently a debate, if homework is unnecessary in education. However, no matter what your
age is, there will always be a homework or an exam on everyone’s life. Although doing homework
seems like wasting time, it helps us to gain responsibility.

Even if it does not feel like it is, there are many benefits of homework. It encourages us to study more
and gains us responsibility. Firstly, students do not like to study. They just hate doing that because it is
easier not to do. Teachers assign homework to students despite knowing that they are not studying.
They have to do their homework, thus encouraging studying in order to avoid receiving low grades.
Additionally, when they are children, people learn gaining responsibility thanks to homework. If there
were not anything like homework, students would only study the day before exams.

Despite benefits of homework, it also has some drawbacks like increasing stress and anxiety and
losing of interests in learning. To begin with, students can be negatively affected in terms of efficiency
because homework can increase their stress levels. For example, even if they want to study to
improve themselves, they can instantly change their mind because of the homework. After that, they
will permanently lose their interests in learning.

To put it in a nutshell, even though some people believe that homework must be abolished from the
education system totally, I believe that students need to study, and homework is one of the best
things that will encourage them to study.
