Topic 2: It is said that small changes in daily habits can improve the environment.

To
what extent do you agree or disagree? Write an essay about 250 words to express your
ideas.

In the contemporary world, environmental pollution has been inadvertently exacerbated by

human activities. Therefore, the multitudes contend that such minor changes in day-to-day life
can help mitigate its impact. I advocate this statement for various reasons as the following essay
will gradually shed light on my belief.

To begin with, it is undeniable that multiple valid solutions have been recently made by the
national government, including raising awareness among citizens, especially among the youth.
As a result, modifying styles of living means that many severe consequences have been partly
reduced, which will constitute a better off and secured lives for many individuals. While
complete success may seem elusive, it is important to recognize that dedicated time and
ongoing effort can yield positive results. By maximizing the use of packaging materials and
transforming them into eco-friendly products, we not only contribute to a cleaner environment
but also make these products more accessible to the public at an affordable price.

On top of that, minor changes can also create a ripple effect, inspiring others to follow suit.
When we make conscious choices to live sustainably, we become role models for our family,
friends, and community. By sharing our experiences and knowledge, we can motivate others to
embrace eco-friendly habits, thereby multiplying the positive impacts on the environment.

That being said, there has long been a belief that small contributions to the issue have
negligible effects on the overall situation. Regarding this fact, many environmentalists have
proved to us the real merits that these activities bring to mitigate its detrimental impacts. In
India, by immense reduction in the number of vehicles, the citizens have finally caught sight of
the Himalayas, which has been said to be hidden under the smog for the past 20 years.

In conclusion, addressing environmental pollution requires immediate action. Small changes

in our daily lives can make a big difference. Government initiatives and individual actions
are keys to driving change. By inspiring others and making mindful choices, we can protect
our planet and secure a prosperous future.
It is a debatable problem that only big corporations can make a significant progress in
preventing global warming and individuals efforts are so futile ,while some have an opposite
thought that there are various things a person can do to stop climate change . This essay will
discuss both views before showing why I partly agree with the first statement. .

Global warming is a phenomenon of increasing average air temperatures near the surface of
Earth which is mostly caused by the burning of fossil fuels include coal, oil, and natural gas.
Global warming causes climate change, which poses a serious threat to life on Earth in the
forms of widespread flooding and extreme weather. On the one hand, there are plenty of
methods individuals can take into account such as switching to renewable energy or zero-
carbon provider ; where feasible, we can drive electric vehicles instead of those that burn fossil
fuels or we can use mass transit instead of driving our own cars; where possible ,we reduce our
food’s carbon footprint, buy local and seasonal foods, we’ll both be helping small businesses or
farms locally and reducing fossil fuel emissions associated with transport and cold chain
storage. ; where affordable, we can conserve energy by better insulating our homes and
buildings, and by replacing old, failing appliances with more energy-efficient models ; Where
practicable, we can counterbalance our annual carbon dioxide emissions by planting trees .

On the other hand , big companies can make use of funding to invest in organizations or
commercial services that draw down an equal amount of carbon out of the atmosphere through
carbon capture and storage techniques. Spreading the word is the most simple way to reduce
carbon footprints for the government as it is accessible for everyone to see , to know or to
understand. Nonetheless , the government has enforced many programmes that help slow
climate change down . For instance , To decrease emissions, around two-thirds of U.S. states
have implemented clean energy standards—laws that encourage utility companies to generate a
certain percentage of their electricity from low-emission energy sources, such as solar or wind
power.

Almost all experts agree that governments—not just individuals or private businesses—play a
critical role in the fight against climate change and so do I . It is important that everybody need
to be aware of what would happen if they do not stop pollute the environment. As far as I am
aware, corporations are more financially stable in supporting environmental organizations than
those are the breadwinner of the family. Additionally, companies can make benefits out of
organizing nature-protect activities as individuals engaged in investing social services such as
reduce plastic waste, switch to solar energy appliances, pick up garbage on the coast,... .
However, we do not know how hard people try to make an effort to the invironment. Such
things the government can not control as decrease electrical and water waste, using organic
food and so on.

In conclusion , Not only big corporations can create a great impact on stopping the crisis but
also individuals that help decrease the percentage of greenhouse effects . There are such simple
thing that people can do and also complex ones . It doesnt matter if we choose the simple tasks
or the hard ones , every small actions can make a big progress in the
future .
There is a widespread concern about the alarming phenomenon known as global climate
change. While some claim that individuals can make some efforts to deal with the issue, others
think that sole responsibility is considered insignificant and that only the cooperation of
powerful institutions between governments and business organizations can result in some
conceivable changes. The essay will present both points of view as well as my viewpoint.

To begin with, since climate change stems from people's perceptions, every individual can be a
pioneer in eliminating many factors that contribute to that problem. Carbon dioxide and other
pollutants produced by fossil fuels are extremely harmful. Using public transport instead of
personal vehicles is often suggested as the first alternative, as it significantly reduces exhaust
emissions. Moreover, humans should learn how to dispose of or reuse plastic items precisely.
Each household should have at least three bins to sort waste, such as separating scrap metal,
recyclable materials, and organic waste, and disposing of them in appropriate locations. As
plastic is neither biodegradable nor eco-friendly material, it’d better be recycled as much as
possible. Therefore, although an individual’s effort is nothing near as huge as one of major
cooperation, it still has the potential to solve global warming.

Nevertheless, others claim that changes are successful when there is a participation of the
Government or large enterprises. An effective way to decrease the amount of carbon dioxide is
by planting more trees. For instance, there are many running campaigns by VAS in Vietnam in
order to raise funds for planting more trees and strengthening the health of the community.
Furthermore, investments that come from both the Government and large businesses will be
helpful when it comes to constructing an eco-friendly transportation system such as hybrid or
electric vehicles for public use so the atmosphere will be ensured to be clean. Hence,
implementing these measures, such as planting trees and investing in eco-friendly
transportation, will help reduce the negative impacts of human activities on the environment.

In conclusion, it is important to keep going even though there are differing views on whether or
not people should contribute their efforts. We, the authorities and the people should work
together to deal with this widespread phenomenon and find a solution to reduce any potentially
disastrous effects.
