INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITY
Recall
Direction: The teacher will ask the learners of the previous lessons

ACTIVITY 1
Presentation
- Begin the lesson by asking students if they have ever watched a musical play or performed in one.
- Discuss the importance of using appropriate sounds, music, gestures, movements, and costumes to
enhance the overall performance.
- Explain that in today's lesson, they will learn how to use media and technology to create and incorporate
these elements into a selected part of a musical play.
ANALYSIS

- Explain to students that today's lesson will focus on creating artworks using materials found in their local environment.
- Discuss the importance of sustainability in art and how using recycled or natural materials can contribute to an eco-friendlier
approach to creating art.
- Share the objectives of the lesson with the students.
ABSTRACTION
- Show students’ different examples of local materials that can be used for creating artworks (e.g., newspaper for papier-mâché,
cardboard for sculptures, leaves for collages).
- Demonstrate how to use these materials to create a simple artwork step-by-step.
- Explain the importance of planning and sketching their ideas before starting the actual artwork.
- Discuss different techniques and methods that can be used with the chosen materials.

Activity 3: GROUPINGS
Directions: Learners will be divided into four (4) groups.
- Divide students into four (4) groups.

Selecting a Scene (10 minutes)


- Provide each group with a musical play script or a selected scene from a musical play.
- Instruct the groups to read through the scene and discuss which part they would like to focus on for their performance.
- Circulate the classroom, offering guidance and suggestions to each group.

- Instruct each group to discuss and plan appropriate gestures, movements, and costumes for their scene.
- They can use online resources, such as videos of dance routines or theatrical performances, to gather
ideas.

enhance the storytelling and characterization in their scene.
