Subject: Request for Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly

Dear SK Domaub

Greetings of Peace and Prosperity!

We hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to formally request the organization and
conduct of a Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly within our barangay. As an active member of
the community and a concerned youth, I believe that such an assembly is essential to foster unity,
collaboration, and the active participation of the youth in local governance.

The Katipunan ng Kabataan plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our community by
empowering the youth and providing them with a platform to voice their concerns, propose
initiatives, and contribute to the development of our barangay. An assembly will allow us to discuss
important matters, share ideas, and strengthen the bonds among the youth members.

We believe that by organizing this KK Assembly, we can strengthen the sense of community among
the youth and contribute positively to the development of our barangay. We also believe that even a
young KK member who is not elected to any position in the council, KK member still has a role in
planning the policies of the Barangay. The Sangguniang Kabataan Council and Katipunan ng
Kabataan should work together to make sure that the space for democracy for young people in the
village is for the strongest and expansive community.

As to support for this letter, Republic Act 10742 or also known as the Sangguniang Kabataan
Reform Act of 2015, stated in the Section 6 that “The Katipunan ng Kabataan shall meet at least
once every six (6) months, or at the call of the chairperson of the Sangguniang Kabataan or upon
written petition of at least one-twentieth (1/20) of its members, to decide on important issues
affecting the youth of the barangay.”

We kindly request your support in coordinating and facilitating the necessary arrangements for the
assembly, including securing a venue, notifying KK members, and ensuring the availability of
essential resources for a successful event.

collaboration in making the Katipunan ng Kabataan Assembly a meaningful and productive event.
