General Objectives
1. To enable students to further learn about capital letters
2. To improve the knowledge of their position in sentences
3. To enable students to learn how to write capital letters properly
Specific Objectives
Students should be able to:
1. The students will be able to properly identify a capital letter from a common one
2. The students will be able to write capital letters on worksheet.
3. The students will be able to see where the capital letters go; the beginning of sentences.

Teaching Aids Used – White board, duster, markers, etc.

Instructional Teaching Aids


Collaboration: The use of an interactive counting activity which will incorporate team work to
peek their interest on the concept of Capital letters.
Previous Knowledge assumed
The students are assumed to have previous knowledge and an understanding of the difference
between capital and common letters. However, some lack knowledge of the proper use of Capital
letters and where they go in a sentence.

Previous Knowledge testing


In order to test the previous knowledge of the students, the following will be done
a) pictures of letters will be shown and they will be asked to differentiate the capital letter from
the common letter.
b) Students will also be given the chance to practice writing and forming the letters on the board.

Introduction
The teacher will introduce the topic “Cheerful capital letters” the Students by appealing to their
sense of sight. This will be done through a picture displayed on the screen.

Presentation
Methodology The students will be placed into two separate
groups. Group 1 will have to work together to
circle and identify the Capital letters and
Group 2 will circle and identify the common
letters.

Assessment Students are given an activity via worksheet.


Students will be requested to identify the
capital letters at the beginning of the
sentences.

Evaluation
The students have acquired the knowledge of the capital letters, practiced forming and writing
capital letters and differentiating them from common letters. In addition, they have also seen the
position of capital letters in sentences. This will be evaluated through the use of the activity as
mentioned above as children will be asked to circle the capital letters to the beginning of the
sentences.
