I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson the pupils will be able to;
 apply knowledge in observing health and safety measures in formulating
fertilizers and organic pesticides;
 observe health and safety measures in formulating fertilizers and organic: and
 value the importance of safety measures in formulating fertilizers and organic
pesticides.

III. Procedure:

TEACHER’S ACTIVITY PUPIL’S ACTIVITY


A. Daily Routine

1.) Prayer:
“Stand up everyone for our opening prayer.” (The pupils will stand up.)

“May I call on our prayer leader for today.” (Prayer leader starts the prayer.)

2.) Greetings:
“Good morning class!” (Good morning, Sir Ian.)

3.) Classroom Management:


“Before you take seats, kindly pick up the pieces of trash (The pupils will arrange and pick
underneath your chairs.” up the pieces of trash underneath

4.) Checking of Attendance


“Is there anyone absent for today class monitor?” “We don’t have any absentees
for today, Sir.”

5.) Review
“Class, what was our past lesson yesterday?” “It is all about the benefits of

“Class, do you know what this picture is?”

Goggles – These are face and eye protection from any harmful Goggles
chemicals that cause direct contact making fertilizers and
pesticides.
Mask – Face protection from any harmful chemicals that we Mask
inhale in making fertilizers and pesticides.

Gloves – These are hand protections in handling of the Hand Gloves


chemicals.

Safety Shoes – These are the shoes that we wear when making Safety Shoes
fertilizers and pesticides.
These are the safety measures in preparing fertilizers and
organic pesticides.

1.) Always wear personal protective equipment such as face


mask, hand gloves, apron, working clothes and boots.
2.) Always read the instructions before doing the activity.
3.) Follow the guide of proper posture while working to avoid
straining your back.
4.) Check the working condition of tools before using them.
5.) Never leave your work unattended, especially when
ingredients are about to be mixed.
6.) Measure all ingredients properly and follow the correct
procedures. Do not deviate from the instructions provided.
7.) Always focus on the work at hand. Avoid destruction.
8.) Avoid exposure to pesticides.
9.) Maintain a clean working place and free from any
disturbances.
10.) Never forget to take a bath and clean thoroughly after
working.
