INTENSITY :

is your voice cool,flat ,or,monotonous ?


or is it melodramatic,overemotional,or lifeless?.if
not using a microphoneor lapel,if your voice heard
loud enough.
Tone of voice:
our voice and other characters voice
project warmth,confidence,and
delight.

FOR EXAMPLE:
Is this an apple?
No, its a pear. ( sarcasm)
TIMING AND PACE
A response in terms of verbal from the character you
are talking with come too slowly or too quickly.
Intonation
Intonation is the rising and falling of the voice when speaking. The
rising and falling of your voice when speaking is determined by what
you think, how you feel and to some extent the grammatical structure
of a particular line you are delivering.

For Example:
I want to go to boracay. Do you want to go with me?

Intonation for Yes or No questions is rising.


pause:
pause could merit a comment when it is done at
a critical moment during the delivery of the
lines when it is employed to increase the
anticipation of the audience,to create suspense,to
give emphasis on the succeeding utterance,or the
important thing will be said.

Example of pause:
Excuse me/ Where is
the bathroom
accent:
Accent is a distinct manner or style of pronouncing the
words.In a play,it is as important as the other prosodic
features of speech because it enchances the credibility
of the characterization of a particular character in the
play.

FOR EXAMPLE:
In american accent its water ( wa-ter) while
in british accent its water ( wo-tah)
short story: Here is a conversation between two old
friends meeting by chance at a fastfood
Beatrice:
hello jim,how are
you?its been a long Beatrice:
time since we last

Oh,hi Beatrice! How often do you eat
I've got a new here?
