S1104P Pressure 0 31 Pressure Pressure measurement main hoist, pressure sensor 0..600bar, 4..20mA. Function: Pressure
Main hoist
monitoring, main sensor monitoring to avoid load drift when lowering. The pressure is measured during lifting and a
Group 11 hoist percentage increase is added in the raise line to counteract the dynamic influence of the load
prior to lowering (lowering after lifting or lowering after lowering).
S1105N Preload on hoist 0 13 Proximity The proximity switch is activated when the hoist drive is preloaded by an external load (hoist
brake switch line pull). The switch signal must then be made inactive by the hydraulic drive input cancelling
the preload in order to release the hoist brake. Note: if there is no external load on the hoist
the switch is not active and the brake will be released.
Y1101 Lowering 0 46 Proportional Y1101 is a proportional valve, which when provided with a control current, ramps the pump in
valve the lowering direction. For lowering it is necessary that solenoids Y1106 (pump release) and
Y1104 (brake release) are also energised. The brake can only be released after proportional
solenoid Y1102 (raise) is momentarily energised until the raise line pressure is verified by
S1104P. Sufficient charge pressure (>10 bar) monitored by S1101P and S1102P must also
be available. Additionally, the lowering limit switch function must be set in a safe condition to
allow hoist lowering operation.

S1105N provides a release signal to verify hoist drive pre-load. Sufficient charge pressure
(>10 bar) monitored by S1101P and S1102P must also be available

Y1103 Hydraulic motor 2 49 Proportional The valve Y1103 (motor displacement adjustment). Subject to a minimum current, the hoist
position valve motor will reduce its displacement volume to increase speed. The valve is only activated, if
one of the valves Y1101 or Y1102 has reached the maximum current value (automatic
sequence control).
Y1104 Brake release 0 2 Valve Y1104 is a 4/2 direction valve, which when energised, routes release pressure to the hoist
brake. Prior to brake release proximity switch S1105N must provide a signal to verify hoist
drive preload.

Group 21 no current application for this switch
Y2101 Derricking in 1 24 Valve When energised, this valve sets the logic block configuration to the derrick in function (boom
up).
Y2102 Derricking out 1 2 Valve When energised in conjunction with valve Y2107, it sets the logic block configuration to high-
speed for the derricking out function (boom down).
Y2103 Tele-cylinder /boom 1 25 Valve When energised in conjunction with Y2106, it sets the logic block configuration to the
retracting telescope cylinder/boom retracting function.
Y2104 Tele-cylinder /boom 1 3 Valve When energised, it sets the logic block configuration to the telescope cylinder/boom
extending extending function.
Y2105 Pressure increase 1 46 Valve Increase of the cylinder pressure when extending. Energised, if the value of the precision
length sensor is less than 10238 mm (85% of max. length).
Y2106 High-speed extend 1 42 Valve When energised in conjunction with Y2104 it sets the logic block configuration to the high-
tele speed (rapid motion) telescope extending function. Additionally, when energised in
conjunction with Y2103 it sets the logic block configuration to the telescope retract function.

Y2107 High-speed 1 20 Valve When energised in conjunction with valve Y2101 it sets the logic block configuration to the
derricking high-speed (rapid motion) derricking in function. When energised in conjunction with valve
Y2102 it sets the logic block configuration to the high-speed (rapid motion) derricking out
function.
Y2110 Pump derricking / 0 64 Proportional Proportional pump delivery control for derricking and telescoping system. When derricking in,
telescoping valve (normal/high speed) the proportional pump delivery is in relation to the joystick position. When
derricking out, (normal) the valve is not energised (gravity lowering). When derricking out,
(high-speed) the valve is given a fixed control current to limit the maximum pump delivery
volume.
Y2120 Speed control 1 47 Proportional Proportional valve for the function 'Derricking down'. This regulates the flow of oil coming out
derricking out valve of the derricking cylinders and thus the speed of the derricking down function. The valve is
provided with a control current via ECOS (ESX 1) in ratio to the joystick position and controls
the holding valve with pilot (control) pressure supply via Y2121 to ensure system safety. Note:
During normal operation the boom lowers by gravity. During high-speed derricking down the
logic block configuration is set accordingly and the proportional pump control solenoid Y2110
is given a fixed control current to limit the maximum pump delivery volume.

Y1221 Release derricking 1 61 Valve A 4/2 switching valve for the function 'Derricking down'. When energised by ECOS (ESX 1),
out releases the pilot (control) pressure for the proportional valve Y2120 (Holding valve derricking
down) and thus takes on a security function to prevent a single valve action being able to
operate the holding valves.

section pins / tele (unlock) functions. Energised -> telescoping cylinder pins (ECOS I/O board 6). De-energised -
Group 21 cyl. pins > boom section pins.
Y2131 Hold unlocked 6 X3/2 This 2/2 (leak free) valve, when energised by ECOS (I/O board 6), blocks the return path to
position the cylinder transfer tube for any displaced oil from either the slave cylinder or telescope
cylinder pins. This holds the induced unlocking pressure (pin unlocked status) and allows
telescoping regardless of any volumetric change in the transfer tube caused by telescoping.

Y2132 High-speed 1 43 Valve A 3/2 valve, which when energised, inhibits the holding valve function to prevent unnecessary
extending flow restriction during the regeneration process for high-speed extending. The valve is
energised in conjunction with Y2104 and Y2106. Y2105 and Y2402 may also be energised
subject to precision length sensor values.
Y2133 Locked / unlocked 1 62 Valve This 4/2 switching valve, when energised by ECOS (ESX 1), switches pump P5 flow path to
the cylinder transfer tube, which is then supplied with a maximum pressure of 100 bar (subject
to Y2134 being de-energised). This pressure is then routed to the pins (telescope
cylinder/boom section) which have been selected via valve Y2130 (energised = telescope
cylinder pins / de-energised = boom section pins). Subsequently, the respective pins will be
unlocked.
Y2134 Charge cylinder 1 63 Valve When energised, the 4/2 valve Y2134 routes low charge pressure (10 bar) to the telescope
transfer tube cylinder transfer tube. Energised, if the telescope cylinder pins or the boom section pins are
unlocked and when extending the cylinder.
Y2135 Pressure Release 1 21 Valve The 2/2 valve Y2135 is momentarily energised between telescope/derricking functions to
release any stored pressure between pump P1 and the logic block. This function is necessary
to prevent shift-shock noise from the logic elements within the block.
Y2140 Lock right lift 5 X3/1 Valve A 4/3 valve, which when energised, routes pump (P5) flow to lock the right-hand derrick (lift)
cylinder rod cylinder rod to the boom base section. Solenoid Y3408 (pressure build-up) must be energised
in conjunction with the above direction valve.
Y2141 Unlock right lift 5 X3/2 Valve A 4/3 valve, which when energised, routes pump (P5) flow to unlock the right-hand derrick
cylinder rod (lift) cylinder rod from the boom base section. Solenoid Y3408 (pressure build-up) must be
energised in conjunction with the above direction valve.
Y2142 Lock left lift cylinder 5 X3/3 Valve A 4/3 valve, which when energised, routes pump (P5) flow to lock the left-hand derrick (lift)
rod cylinder rod to the boom base section. Solenoid Y3408 (pressure build-up) must be energised
in conjunction with the above direction valve.
Y2143 Unlock left lift 5 X3/4 Valve A 4/3 valve, which when energised, routes pump (P5) flow to unlock the left-hand derrick (lift)
cylinder rod cylinder rod from the boom base section. Solenoid Y3408 (pressure build-up) must be
energised in conjunction with the above direction valve.
Y2144 Lock boom pivot pin 5 X3/5 Valve A 4/3 valve, which when energised, routes pump (P5) flow to lock the boom pivot pins to the
turntable. Solenoid Y3408 (pressure build-up) must be energised in conjunction with the
above direction valve.
Y2145 Unlock boom pivot 5 X3/6 Valve A 4/3 valve, which when energised, routes pump (P5) flow to unlock the boom pivot pins from
pin the turntable. Solenoid Y3408 (pressure build-up) must be energised in conjunction with the
above direction valve.

Carrier suspension H4303 Automatic highway 0 X3/3 Signal lamp Lamp H4303 illuminates to indicate that the vehicle is not at a correct highway ride height
Group 43 levelling position. The lamp circuit is activated via switch S4308 "highway levelling."
OUT4301 Release switch 0 X3/7 Signal When the key switch (S4301) is selected and when the axle blocking is released (S4103),
power then OUT4301 is activated. This output provides a power supply to the control switches and
respective switch wanring lamps.
S4301 Key switch carrier 0 X6/1 Key operated The key switch provides the release of the levelling function. Furthermore, it is the central
levelling switch release switch for functions which need speed reduction control via K3602 and the Allison
ECU. These functions are: levelling, all-wheel steering, differential long locks and differential
cross locks.
S4301N Front left 1 X6/1 Proximity The N/C proximity switch function, required as an integral part of the automatic highway
suspension switch levelling feature is installed in the first axle line (left) suspension strut (lower switch) and
cylinder, position detects the inner support tube as a height reference to hold the switch open. Should the
too high switch travel above its height reference it will fall closed and provide a signal to I/0 board 1,
which will subsequently cause the suspension group to lower until the switch is opened by its
height reference against the support tube. Note: The proximity switch circuits are only live
when activating the automatic highway levelling function.
S4302 Right suspension 0 X7/1 Twin action The rocker switch S4302 is controlled by the operator to provide a command for raise or lower
raise/lower switch function, subject to selection (raise/lower) via rocker switch S4307. Subsequently, via I/0
boards 1 & 2, solenoids Y4302, Y4304 & Y4306 will be energised in conjunction with Y4709
(pump command) via ESX4 for the raise function. Should the lower function be selected,
solenoids Y4302, Y4304 & Y4306 will be energised without the need for Y4709 as the crane
will lower by gravity.
S4302N Front left 1 X6/2 Proximity The N/O proximity switch function, required as an integral part of the automatic highway
suspension switch levelling feature is installed in the first axle line (left) suspension strut (upper switch) and
cylinder, position detects the inner support tube as a height reference to hold the switch closed. Should the
too low switch travel below its height reference it will close and provide a signal to I/0 board 1, which
will subsequently cause the suspension group to raise until the switch falls open due to losing
its height reference against the support tube. Note: The proximity switch circuits are only live
when activating the automatic highway levelling function.
S4303 Front suspension 0 X7/2 Twin action The rocker switch S4303 is controlled by the operator to provide a command for raise or lower
raise/lower switch function, subject to selection (raise/lower) via rocker switch S4307. Subsequently, via I/0
board 1, solenoids Y4301 & Y4302 will be energised in conjunction with Y4709 (pump
command) via ESX4 for the raise function. Should the lower function be selected, solenoids
Y4301 & Y4302 will be energised without the need for Y4709 as the crane will lower by
gravity.
S4303N Front righ 1 X6/3 Proximity The N/C proximity switch function, required as an integral part of the automatic highway
suspension switch levelling feature is installed in the first axle line (right) suspension strut (lower switch) and
cylinder, position detects the inner support tube as a height reference to hold the switch open. Should the
too high switch travel above its height reference it will fall closed and provide a signal to I/0 board 1,
which will subsequently cause the suspension group to lower until the switch is opened by its
height reference against the support tube. Note: The proximity switch circuits are only live
when activating the automatic highway levelling function.
S4304 Rear suspension 0 X7/3 Twin action The rocker switch S4304 is controlled by the operator to provide a command for raise or lower
raise/lower switch function, subject to selection (raise/lower) via rocker switch S4307. Subsequently, via I/0

All-wheel steering H4706 Axle unlocked 0 X3/4 Signal lamp The warning lamp illuminates to indicate that axle 3 to axle 6/7 interaxle draglink is unlocked
Group 47 from its highway travel mode (wheels straight). Axles 6/7 remain locked by a mechanical
draglink but are free to steer independently of the front axle group in a crab or co-ordinated
steering mode. Axles 4 & 5 will be steered independently by hydraulic control to match the
required geometry depending on the steering positions of axles 1...3 and axles 6 & 7. The
lamp will flash while the locking / unlocking process is in transition.
IN4703 Axle 3 angle 4 6 Potentiometer IN4703 is an input signal from a 180 degree potentiometer, which motitors the unlocked
potentiometer length difference of the inter-axle drag link between axles 3 & 6/7. This signal is derived from
a 8.5 VCC supply with a 4.25 V locked setpoint in highway mode (wheels straight). It will
rise/fall depending on the length of the drag link and acts as a command signal to steer axles
4 & 5 in relationship to the geometry requirements. Axles 4 & 5 are steered only by hydraulic
cylinders and have actual value potentiometers to monitor their position relative to the
command value.
IN4704 Axle 4 angle 4 29 Potentiometer IN4704 is an input signal from a 180 degree potentiometer, which motitors the unlocked
potentiometer length difference of the steering cylinder of axle 4. This signal is derived from an 8.5 VCC
supply with a 4.25 V locked setpoint in highway mode (wheels straight). It will rise/fall
depending on the length of the steering cylinder and acts as an actual value signal to cease
steering axle 4 when it matches the geometry requirements of the command value (IN4703).

IN4705 Axle 4 angle 4 7 Potentiometer IN4705 is an input signal from a 180 degree potentiometer, which motitors the unlocked
potentiometer length difference of the steering cylinder of axle 5. This signal is derived from an 8.5 VCC
supply with a 4.25 V locked setpoint in highway mode (wheels straight). It will rise/fall
depending on the length of the steering cylinder and acts as an actual value signal to cease
steering axle 5 when it matches the geometry requirements of the command value (IN4703).

S4702/4 All-wheel steer (left) 0 X7/7 Tiller switch Switch S4702 in position 1 (corresponds to Pin 4) provides a 24 V signal to I/O board 0 to
steer the rear axle steering (axles 6 & 7) to the left.
S4702/3 All-wheel steer 0 X7/8 Tiller switch Switch S4702 in position 2 (corresponds to Pin 3) provides a 24 V signal to I/O board 0 to
(right) steer the rear axle steering (axles 6 & 7) to the right.
S4703M Axle 3 locked 4 34 Switch A N/C switched signal (24 V VCCPERM) to indicate axle 3 is locked in highway mode.
S4704 Select all-wheel 0 X6/2 Toggle switch Switch S4704 is a switch with a mechanical safety interlock and activates the all-wheel
steering steering mode. For engagement the vehicle speed must be below the limit of 3 mph (5km/h).
The switched signal to I/O 0 is interlocked by requiring the keyswitch K4301 to be engaged to
de-energise K3602 with subsequent 24 V power supply to S4704 and upshift lock signal to the
Allison ECU. Furthermore, to facilitate the unlocking process the unlock signal will initiate
pulsing (left/right) of the hydraulic direction valves to allow the pneumatic pressure to release
the mechanical cylinder locks. This will cease when unlocking is confirmed by the unlocked
switch S4704M
S4704M Axle 3 unlocked 1 X6/8 Switch A N/C switched signal (24 V) to indicate axle 3 interaxle drag link is unlocked.
S4705M Axle 4 locked 4 12 Switch A N/C switched signal (24 V) to indicate axle 4 is locked.
S4706M Axle 5 locked 4 35 Switch A N/C switched signal (24 V) to indicate axle 5 is locked.
Y4701 Unlock axles 4 & 5 4 42 Valve Y4701 is a pneumatic solenoid valve and is energised to unlock axles 4 & 5 for all-wheel
steering function.
