It is my pleasure to invite pianist, Prof. Thiago de Freitas as Guest Artist Faculty of the Tulane
University Vocal Arts Festival. The festival is sponsored by Tulane University’s Newcomb
Department of Music and will take place in New Orleans, April 11-13, 2024.
During the festival Prof. de Freitas will participate by presenting a recital featuring Brazilian music,
playing concerts, and giving a vocal master class with Dr. Poliana Alves.
The Tulane Vocal Arts Festival is presented free of charge to Tulane University faculty and
students, as well as the New Orleans musical community. The festival is supported by the
Newcomb Department of Music, a Newcomb Institute Special Initiatives Grant, and a Carol Lavin
Bernick Faculty Grant.
