1. Accountability: Accountability is an assurance that an individual or organization is
evaluated on its performance or behavior related to something for which it is responsible.
The term is related to responsibility but is regarded more from the perspective of
oversight.
2. Transparency: Transparency is the quality of being easily seen through, while
transparency in governance refers to being open and honest. As part of corporate
governance best practices, this requires disclosure of all relevant information so that
others can make informed decisions.
3. Legitimate: Legitimacy is considered to be there when there is conformity to the law or
rules. A legitimate government is elected by the people and is accountable to the citizens
of the nation. A government is considered legitimate when it lets people participate in the
political process.
4. Economic growth: Growth is an increase in the production of economic goods and
services in one period of time compared with a previous period. It can be measured in
nominal or real.
5. Ethnic: It relates to characteristics of a large group of people who have the same national,
racial, or cultural origins, and who usually speak the same language.
