a person who is employed to do any skilled, semi-skilled or unskilled,
manual, supervisory, technical or clerical work
for hire or reward, whether the terms of employment be expressed or implied,

but does not include any such person-

R-19-Periodic testing of pressure vessels in service

• hydraulically tested by a CP at a pressure marked on vessel at intervals of not


more than 5 yrs after the date of 1st test

• vessels containing corrosive / toxic gases, periodic test to be done at an UT


interval of 2 yrs

• Internal inspection along with residual thickness measurement shall be carried


out during periodic testing.

• Vessels of more than 100 KL water capacity meant for flammable, corrosive & LPT

• In case of vessels which are so designed, constructed / supported that they


cannot be safely filled with water / liquids for hydraulic testing / which are used RT
