INTRODUCTION

I. BRIEF HISTORY OF THE COMPANY


Charlow Arbasto Makeup and Design Studio is a prominent name in the fashion and
beauty industry, especially in the province of Bohol. Owned by Charlow Cielo Arbasto,
who is a transgender, the studio has become renowned for its exceptional services and
unparalleled customer experience. The journey to success began in 2009 when Ma'am
Charlow Arbasto founded the Charlow Arbasto Makeup Studio, which initially focused
on makeup services only. With sheer hard work, dedication, and a passion for excellence,
the shop gradually improved, leading to its success and recognition in the industry.

In 2013, Charlow Arbasto extended her expertise and creativity by venturing into
garment rental. Despite having limited skills in dressmaking, she used her skills in visual
arts and established a garment rental service, which further enhanced the popularity of the
studio. The shop expanded its services to include garment rental, which was highly
appreciated by the customers. Charlow Arbasto, who is technically the Fashion Designer
in the shop, manages a team of skilled tailors who work tirelessly to fulfill the customers'
requirements.

It's worth noting that the first location of Charlow Arbasto Makeup and Design Studio
was in J.E. Clarin, Tagbilaran City, Bohol. However, due to the shop's growing popularity
and demand, Charlow Arbasto opened a new location on Pamaong Street, Cogon
Tagbilaran City, Bohol in 2021. The new location offers the same exceptional services
and customer experience that the studio is known for. Whether you choose to visit the
original or the new location, you can be sure that you will receive high-quality services
that cater to your individual needs.

Today, Charlow Arbasto Makeup and Design Studio is a one-stop shop for all your
fashion and beauty needs. With a team of highly skilled professionals, the studio offers

renowned fashion and beauty studio located in Bohol, Philippines. Founded on 2013 by
Charlow Cielo Arbasto, a transgender woman, the studio offers exceptional services and
unparalleled customer experience. Initially, the studio focused on makeup services but
expanded its offerings to include garment rental. With a team of highly skilled
professionals, Charlow Arbasto Makeup and Design Studio has become a one-stop shop
for all your fashion and beauty needs. The shop's success is a testament to Charlow

V. COMPANY OWNERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT

Company Ownership and Management of Charlow Arbasto - Makeup and Design Studio:

Ownership Structure:

Charlow Cielo Arbasto - Makeup and Design Studio is privately owned by its founder,
Charlow Arbasto. As the sole proprietor, Charlow holds full ownership and control over
the business.
Management Team:

Charlow Cielo Arbasto (Founder and CEO): Charlow Arbasto is the visionary behind
the Makeup and Design Studio. With a passion for beauty and design, Charlow oversees
the overall direction and strategy of the business. As the CEO, Charlow is responsible for
setting goals, managing operations, and ensuring the studio's continued growth and
success.

All the 3 Staff are Support Staff: Supporting the management team are various staff
members responsible for tasks such as makeup application, design assistance, customer
service, and administrative support.

Gailmar A. Dumapig (Operations Manager): He is tasked with overseeing the day-to-


day activities of the studio. He manages scheduling, inventory, and client appointments
and ensures a smooth workflow within the studio. The Operations Manager also handles
administrative tasks, such as budgeting, procurement, and staff coordination.

Ritchamae C. Horserada (Sales and Marketing Manager): The Sales and Marketing
Manager is responsible for promoting the studio's services, attracting new clients, and
maintaining relationships with existing clients. They develop marketing strategies,
manage advertising campaigns, and work to increase the studio's visibility and brand
awareness in the market.

James Ryan S. Icoy (Garment Rental and Tailoring Supervisor): This role is
specifically dedicated to overseeing the garment rental and tailoring shop aspect of the
studio. The supervisor manages the rental inventory, coordinates fittings and alterations,
and ensures excellent customer service within the garment rental and tailoring
department.

DISCUSSION OF FINDINGS AND ANALYSIS


I. OPERATION SYSTEM AND PROCEDURE

The boutique operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and the hours of operation are
from 9:00 in the morning until 6:00 in the evening. The boutique management places high
importance on providing each customer with the utmost respect, attention, and exceptional
service. While appointments can be made over the phone through the management's secretary,
this is subject to availability.
All payments must be made directly to the management, and employees are expected to
arrive before opening time and leave after closing time. An attendance logbook will be provided
for this purpose, and the management requests strict adherence to this policy. In the event that
overtime is necessary, employees are expected to work as required.
The use of mobile phones during work hours is strictly prohibited, and all phones should be
turned off to ensure that employees can focus on their work and provide customers with the best
possible service. The management would like to emphasize the importance of this policy and
expects all employees to comply with this rule.
Additionally, employees must wear comfortable yet appropriate attire that is professional
and in line with the boutique's image and values. The management expects employees to respect
the dress code policy.
The management would like to thank all employees and customers for their cooperation

Tools and Equipment

Thread Cutters are used for tailoring, and alterations of


tailoring notions . The blade is made stainless steel, with
special heat treatment and precision grinding process with
makes the blade shape.

Sewing Scissors are a tool for making multiple cuts to fabrics


or textiles. They are used to cut patterns, sewing allowances
or to perfect garments. They are a special tool for embroidery
work, as they are pointed, making it easier to work with
delicate fabrics and threads of different thicknesses.

High Speed Lockstitch Sewing Machine are characterized


by heavy-duty operation through its auto-lubrication system.
The proper normal and reverse feeding mechanism makes
the sewing on thin material without crinkle and on thick
material without breaking thread during high-speed sewing.

Overedging machines are used to form a multithread


overedging seam. The stitch forming tools for the formation
of the overedging seams are preceded by stitch forming
tools for the forming of a two-thread chain stitch on the side
of each of the overedging seams.

Pins are used all the time in sewing projects to hold patterns
to fabric, temporarily hold seams before stitching and for
basting layers together when making a quilt.

Needles are basic implement used in sewing or embroidering


and, in variant forms, for knitting and crocheting. The sewing
needle is small, slender, rodlike, with a sharply pointed end to
facilitate passing through fabric and with the opposite end slotted
to carry a thread.

Soldering iron are most often used for installation, repairs, and

soldering methods. Large irons may be used for soldering joints in sheet metal objects.
Thread are a long strand of material, often composed of several
filaments or fibres, used for joining, creating or decorating
textiles.

Clothes iron (also flatiron, smoothing iron, dry iron, steam iron
or simply iron) - is a small appliance that, when heated, is used to
press clothes to remove wrinkles and unwanted creases.
Domestic irons generally range in operating temperature from
between 121 °C (250 °F) to 182 °C (360 °F).

Tape measure or measuring tape is a type of hand tool typically used to


measure distance or size. It is like a much longer flexible ruler consisting
of a case, thumb lock, blade/tape, hook, and sometimes a belt clip. A tape
measure will have imperial readings, metric readings or both.
Contract forms are used to assist you with contracts commonly used by
a small business, enabling you to do it yourself without paying an
attorney to put the contract together each time.

Mannequin (sometimes spelled as manikin and also called a dummy,


lay figure, or dress form) is a doll, often articulated, used by artists, tailors, dressmakers,
window dressers and others, especially to display or fit clothing
and show off different fabrics and textiles.

Pencil (also called: graphite pencil) is a writing utensil with a


graphite lead embedded in a wooden shaft. It is mainly used for
artistic sketching and drawing, for stenography or notes. Its
benefits are the simple usage as well as being able to remove
what you've drawn with an eraser.

Rhinestones often referred to as disco beads, these beads are


embellished with beautiful rhinestones, giving you glamorous
options for your jewelry designs. They are the perfect
complement to other dazzling options, like European crystal.
You can also use them as showcase pieces among more
subdued components.
Zipper, zip, fly, or zip fastener, formerly known as a clasp
locker, is a commonly used device for binding together two
edges of fabric or other flexible material.

Ironing boards are essential equipment for convenient


ironing and steaming of clothing as they offer a stable surface
that can safely absorb heat while pressing out wrinkles
Tracing wheel is used to transfer markings from sewing patterns onto fabric with or
without the use of tracing paper, and can be used to make slotted perforations. Such
markings might include pleats, darts, buttonholes, notches or placement lines for
appliques or pockets.

Fabric is cloth or other material produced by weaving together cotton, nylon, wool, silk,
or other threads. Fabrics are used for making things such as clothes, curtains, and sheets.

1. The boutique opens at 9:00 am and closes at 6:00 pm.


2. The scheme works on a first-come-first-serve basis.
3. Appointments over the phone are accepted, but only by the management.
4. Every customer shall be treated with respect and utmost special care. Customer service
shall always be observed.
5. All payments shall be received by the management.
6. Everyone is expected to arrive before the opening time and leave after the closing time.
A logbook will be provided for attendance.
7. Overtime must be done when necessary, subject to management approval.
8. No one is allowed to use their mobile phone during work hours. All phones should be
turned off to allow for better focus on work.
9. Everyone is expected to wear comfortable but decent attire.
10. All staff members are expected to adhere to the mission and vision of the
establishment.
