Cows are very useful to mankind, in supplying them with milk from which both
butter and cheese are made.
Their young ones are called calves, and the flesh of calves is veal. A good Cow
will give about fifteen or more quarts of milk a day, but much depends upon the
quality of the pasture she feeds upon.
Her age is told by her horns; after she is three years old a ring is formed every
year at the root of the horn, so that by counting the number of circles, her age may
be exactly known.
Cows are sometimes prettily marked with black, brown, and yellow spots, and,

A mobile phone (also known as a wireless phone, cell phone, or cellular telephone) is a
very small portable radio telephone.
The first mobile phone networks were created in the late 1970s in Japan. A cell phone
combines technologies, mainly telephone, radio, and computer. Cell phones work as two-way
radios. They send electromagnetic microwaves from base station to base station. The waves are
sent through antennas. This is called wireless communication.
There are different kinds of phones. A flip phone flips open, and is best for calling. A bar
phone is shaped like a candy bar, and the keys and screen are on one face. A slate phone is a
phone that has almost no buttons, and uses a touchscreen. Most smartphones are slates. A slider
phone slides on rails. It can slide out number keys or a mini keyboard, but some do both. A
swivel spins on an axle.
Many 21st century mobile phones are smartphones. These phones can be used for email,
browsing the internet, playing music and games, and many other functions that computers can
perform. This is because mobile phones basically are small computers. Older phones also used
computer technology, but lacked many of the parts of a computer that were too big to fit into a
phone. Modern phone makers have been able to use smaller parts. Most smartphones are also
GPS receivers and digital cameras.

Once upon a time, there lived a kind hearted man and his wife. One morning, his wife found a
poor little sparrow. She took it gently and fed it. To show its gratitude, the sparrow stayed
with them and sang every morning. But there was an ill-tempered old woman who didn't like
the sparrow. She cut the sparrow's tongue. That's why the bird flew away to its previous nest.

Knowing that their sparrow flew away, the kind man and his wife looked for the sparrow.
They walked a long way, crossed the bridges, climbed the mountains and passed the woods.

At last, they could find the sparrow's nest. The sparrow welcomed them and provided a feast
for them. Before they went home, the sparrow brought two baskets; one was large and looked
heavy, and the other one was small and light. The sparrow asked them to choose only one.
They chose the small and that was the best choice. There were many rolls of silk and piles of
gold in it.
Being jealous, the ill-tempered old woman did the same thing as the kind man and his wife
did. She chose the big basket which actually contained wasps and venomous crawlers, such
as scorpions, centipedes, and other horrible creatures. Finally, they stung and bit her to death.
