Purpose: aims to establish specific guidelines I promoting harmonious police media relations to provide the public with value laden
information as the police and media perform their duties and responsibilities.
Accredited media – refers to a news media representaties duly recognized by the pNP thru PIO.
Content Creator = refers to someone who creates digital content for entertainment or education proposes to be performed or
expressed through online channels
Crisis – an emergency that is a threatening condition which requires urgent action or response
Critical incident – any incident or event whether human-induced or natural disaster including declaration or directives that requires
the implementation of special task by one or more gov.
Embedded Media -Refers to news media representatives who join actual police operations
Freedom of Information – refers to the right of the people to information on matters of public onern and adopts and implements a
policy of full public disclosure
Incident Commander(IC) person designated to provide the overall supervision of the inident.
New Media – Refers to any media delivered igitally such as led and other interrelated forms of communication.
News – it is the reporting of current events
News Media Representative – refers to a credible individual employed by an agency who gather inforatio and reports on a
newsworthy event
Police Media Relation – Refers to fostering good interaction with the media
Press release – refers to the official statement issued by the PNP to the media
Public information – refers to the information for the general publics consumption
Pubic information officer – PIO – refers to the official authority who serve as a central source of information
Subjudice rule – means hat whe a legal matter of controversy has come under the jurisdiction of a court.
Task Group Commander – the overall in charge of an office/unit who has the full authority for maki decisions and providing directors
to manage an incident or planned event.
Traditional media – refers to any media delivered through broadcasts sch s television and readio and prit media
TRIMP – refers to television radio, internet(Social Media) Messegig/mobile phones
At pro level , spokes perso shallbe designated by the RD
NSU level , the pio shall be designated by the administrative officer
NSU level spokeperson shall be designated by the director, NS
